Crates and "Special" Crates are random events like armored cars and requested cars. Regular crates will drop 2 of the 3 combinations: RP, Money, Weapon. "Special" crates are completely random and are unlocked once you unlock regular crate drops, "Special" crates contain: a Mini-gun(if you die or change sessions, you lose it, just like any other weapon you haven't unlocked yet), Full body armor, RP, and Money. Both crate types are marked on the map with a green area circle(when its inbound) and a green box (once its dropped) with a question mark on it, You will be notified when a crate is inbound by the notification above your mini-map and the green area on the map, "Special" crates work the same but you are notified 10 hours before the drop(10h, 5h, 3h, then crate inbound), most of the time crates have AI guarding them (sometimes if you reach the area before the drop, they will be sitting in an SUV somewhere near), usually 3-4 will spawn. Do keep in mind that sometimes crates will bug out and NEVER spawn at all, idk why this is and there is no fix for it, you will know a bugged crate because the green area will stay for more than 1 minute. Also, crates are marked by flares in the ground so you can see them from the air as well, only 3 known colors so far: Red(this might mark a RP + Money drop), White?(Usually has a weapon and RP or Money), and Gold(special crates).
