Only during death matches. It's useless on free roam since you can go to a secluded area, kill a cop or NPC and somehow you get stars anyways.

Find it to be just the same in terms of killing one person.

If we're talking multiple people then of course. Nothing like wasting a whole team from behind with the Assault Shotgun.

It's worse on free roam, there is a subtle difference in accuracy and sometimes you need an extra volley to kill someone.
