insanebeetle Posted November 6, 2002 Share Posted November 6, 2002 Hey, I've jacked many tanks and stored them in garages, saved game, etc., in GTA3 but I can't seem to do it in GTA Vice City. Can anyone help me? What's your strategy for jacking tanks? Heres what I do: Get near the Ammu-Nation in Downtown and randomly shoot people, blow up cars, shoot cops, etc. When I get low on armor I run inside Ammu-Nation and buy the armor. I keep doing this until the army dudes show up in a tank. I get behind the cabinet thingy in the store and I kill the shop worker. Then I pull out my PSG1 and snipe the army guys when they get out of the tank. I then jack the tank. The problem is I always get killed by the army guys! tuff_luv_capo Posted November 6, 2002 Share Posted November 6, 2002 I actually think it's EASIER than in gta3. You jus need elevation. Get up to a buidling top and wait for the tanks. Take out the choppers with sniper rifles. When the tanks show up, blow up the barracks around them to kill the on foot armymen. Shoot the others with M4's or laser rifles. When you hear no more shots, jump down and grab it. I have yet to fail and I've done it like 900 times without codes. Thank god the armymen use Uzies and not f*cking M16's that kill you lightning quick like in gta3 **NOTE*** Having 150 armor and 150 health doesn't hurt either... oh, and keep a hunter nearby for getaways or easy chopper destroying... Vash the Stampede Posted November 6, 2002 Share Posted November 6, 2002 What I do is go to my Vercetti Estate on Starfish Island and start blasting all the guys that hang out in and out of my mansion. Soon the cops fill your mansion and I take them out. When I have like 5 stars I go outside and start killing the cops that try to get you on foot (no cars go in and try to get you) until I get six. When I get six stars I find a tank and jump on top of the ledge near the street. When the Army guy from the driver side comes out I pop him then get in the Tank.
