I think it is interesting how when I play as my girlfriend's character (a girl she created) to rank her up and screw around, I get a friend request like every 10 minutes, especially when I win races, yet with my guy, nothing... Can't imagine I play any different as my lady's character. Based on the messages that came with these requests, I'd guess most folks upset with guys playing as girls are trying to meet "real" girls online, which is perhaps the saddest thing I have ever heard.

Try to make sure your character looks good from the side as well. Lots of combinations looks good from the front, and from the side they look like Sylvester Stallone.

 

Here's mine. I think she came out alright, but I almost never play with this character.

Oh and don't pay attention to the weird rimples around the mouth. They're there because in the creator, your character has the "happy" player mood enabled. If you set it to normal afterwards, they disappear.

thats actually my 2nd character.. my 1st character is not that good tho, good to know my character compared to Sylvester lol i dont really mind about them rimples.. somehow your character can look really different in the game from mornin to night.

The one in the picture now has the blue haircut from the Valentine's day DLC... I think it looks pretty stupid but I just kept it because it's very rare now and I don't really play that character anyway. I'm probably one of the very few people in this game who has blue hair.

Staying out of the debate to answer the OP. I run a female toon, I got my reasons and don't care.

 

The main thing I can say is, DON'T use Marston as the dad, lol. The ol' Marston smirk is no good for lady lips. I can tell who has used Marston on any toon. His DNA overpowers everything. The short answer is try to keep the parentals consistent unless you want some ethnic flavor.

 

I'll repost mine here. I did go for the slight androgynous look because I like that look (think Trinity from the Matrix films), and also I made her as a female version of Eren from Attack on Titan (except she's "Erin." :) ):

I have a female toon (and a male one too). During creation I was not going for "hot" I was going for "not ugly". LOL Was easier to make a not ugly girl than a not ugly guy.

Character in a game should not be "you in the game". That seems strange and disturbing. Especially a GTA game. If your intent was to put "yourself" into the game to "be apart" of the GTA world; you may want to have a psych eval. You might be taking the game (read that as GAME) a bit to seriously.

To those guys that think "Males should not play female characters in a game." First remember it's a game (read as GAME). Second; Metroid, Heavenly Sword, Perfect Dark, Fear Effect 1 and 2, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy XIII - Lightning Returns, Beyond: Good and Evil, and Resident Evil 1 and 2. All amazing and popular games, all with female characters. I would suspect that those guys do not or will not play such games. If you believe "Males should not play female characters", but have played any of the above, accept the fact that you are NOTHING more than a hypocrite.

You're reading way too much into that. There is nothing wrong with you if you tried to make your character look like yourself.

How I made my character:

Randomize until you get John Marston as the father.

I'm not going to tell you my mom's mother/father ;).. so fine tune them to your liking.

Have all sliders to the female side

Keep illegal activity to the minimum.

Quite simple.

 

What you need:

 

- A character.

- Jerry Can.

- Pistol.

- 1 Bullet.

 

Casually apply gasoline from jerry can onto selected character, make 5 precise steps, aim pistol at previously applied gasoline and fire.

 

Voila! You now have a hot character!

This thread again... lol

 

It's been said a few times. Plenty of sleep, working out and spending time with family will keep them from looking like a meth addict. I found it was a good start to hit random a few times and see what came up then just tweak it from there. Also note the pic in the creator looks very different to how they look in game.

The first 3 grandparents affect your character (4th re-renders character but no one know what it changes). The order is:
1. grandma (mom's side)
2. grandpa (mom's side)
3. grandma (dad's side)
4. grandpa (dad's side).

1st grandparent changes over all resemblance; facial features, body structure, etc; major changes.
2nd grandparent changes facial structure; cheek bones, chin; minor changes
3rd grandparent changes skin tone/colour; both minor and major

People usually pick grandma 5 (mom's side) and then take it from there. Remember to put your stats in sleep, sports, and legal work to get a decent look.
