Gang Attack Zone Invulnerability

I find it rather annoying when I am in a heated spawn kill battle and the other player enters a gang attack zone. Why make it where you can't target someone while they are in that area? I understand that some people may not want to be killed while doing a gang attack, but unless you go into the zone as well they can continue to shoot you and you can't fight back.

Sounds like a nice feature to me but it doesn't really matter since I play on free-aim.

I play on free aim too. It doesn't matter though. When you put you reticle over them you can't fire and explosives do nothing.
