I'm sick and tired tbh of cheater/hackers destroying the balance of online games. It's for this reason and well, online gaming communities in general, that I quit online gaming for good and honestly, my gaming hours have become more enjoyable as a result. Ban the f*ckers.

It ruins the experience by taking away the sense of accomplishment and prestige that comes with EARNING the nice stuff. This is what the game is about for people who play legitimately. They broke the terms and conditions, ban em I say.

spending 50K on a turbo ruins the fun for me when grinding a hour to get it.

or buying a million dollar car that can't be sold.

for other cars you get only 10% back. WTF !!

they cut almost all good payouts, and if you destroy someones car then you have to pay for it.

whats the fun in that?

whats the use of ignition bombs if nobody steals your car because they can't do sh*t with.

this game is a money scam by cockstar, if you want a car then buy a shark card and

if you want to mod it then buy another shark card

plus the fact that when you play alone its harder to collect cash while doing jobs and stuff.

Silent Dogwood

They didn't actively go out to cheat or manipulate the game. They exploited a flaw in the game which had been their from the start, and that many would have probably resorted to, including some on this list who voted that we should ban them.

If punishment is a must, wipe their stats, but even that is way too extreme in my humble opinion. Rockstar is really the one to blame for this, along with the rest of their rather shaky launch.

Ban them.

The minute they try to exploit a games flaws for personal gain at the expense of other ligitimate players online fun and experience, they've lost all rights and entitlement imo.

They know the rules, therefor f*ck 'em.

I liked a Half Bro post. This is a nice change of pace. I completely agree with you.

To the people who say it shouldn't ruin someone elses fun: This is a community of 'moving up' in the criminal world. It ruins a sense of progression by you guys just being able to resell a car. I also don't want one of you tools to join my lobby and gift me millions I can't get rid of. There's a true destruction of one's sense of progression.

Its my game !

I can do what ever the f*ck I want to do with it.

GTAO is not your game. Look it up in the ToU. You rent their property (your character) using their property (their servers). You cannot do what the f*ck you want with it. You can do whatever the f*ck you want, with your GTA V. There's a clause in there that states (im sure this is far from exact, but you'll get the point) "We can terminate all services in regards to GTAO, without any warning or notice what-so-ever".

Cheaters are the single biggest problem in the online gaming community.

I couldn't agree more. Cheaters ruined my favorite game of all time: Socom 2.

Other... put them together, like they did in Max Payne 3

This isn't a bad idea, make the cheaters punish each other... I like it.

If I post what I'm thinking I'll probably be banned,

so I'll just keep my mouth shut and reach my gentle $5,000,000 goal.

I think there is no need for +$100 million like some guys here are doing, this takes the fun out of the game.

I still wanna play Heists so I won't abuse the glitch.

So if you don't like the gameplay as intended, you find a way to cheat/exploit to make it on par with your deluded idea of "fun"?

I am against cheating so I could never vote no, cheaters have to be punished or else the end is nigh

A ban is a bit harsh though I would wait until after the 500k has been deposited and then reset their characters and place them all in the cheaters pool

I guess bans would serve one purpose though, no-body will be looking for any more glitches or ways around any patches to this one, I have to admit all games I have enjoyed playing online have ended up being ruined by cheaters

Nope. When they launch with faulty servers that cause character/vehicle/progress loss and then don't restore said characters then it's fair game in my book. That and glitches like this are not game breaking, it's the same as someone buying alot of cash cards. Now banning/reseting people that use gameplay glitches like passive mode invincibility or invisibility sounds like fair punishment.

How about...and this is just a crazy-ass thought...

...R* sends them to prison. The virtual Los Santos Penitentiary, of course. Sure, they could try to escape. But they'd get massive bounties on their heads, everytime and 5-star police stars.

Personally, I think this would lend itself to some interesting scenarios, like crew mates trying to bust their buddies out of jail and then struggling with the thought of getting that bounty, for example.

And then the rest of us would go crazy if suddenly there's a 300$ gran bounty on a guy ! A bananas-crazy man hunt with players competing against players and the AI.

Your just complaining about things to do with online, completely unrelated to my post and this thread. What cause you don't like the online it gives you a right to exploit the game?

Now THAT sounds like fun! Great idea.

OT I don't think banning anyone for glitching is needed. As far as I'm concerned they've already consigned this game to their rubbish bin in the race to own the most tanks.

Impatience plus boredom ("I've already got everything!") means most will be abandoning ship fairly soon.

That + COD coming out in a few weeks. We'll be much better off the sooner that happens.

I think wiping their stats and money would be enough. I think it's coming anyway, Rockstar haven't said they can see who and who hasn't cheated for a reason. Either that or they will adjust leaderboards accordingly which will make the boards look odd but at least they will be adjusted so legitimate players are rewarded correctly.

Of f*ck it, just ban the c*nts.

I feel pretty confident they could figure it out in less than an hour with some creative queries. It'd be pretty obvious, just look for people who sold the same car, back to back, in less than a few minutes.

I say no. Why? Because I'm not a dick and if they're grinding or replaying mission then it's fine by me. What do I care if they used the Los santos glitch or the store robbing glitch? It takes forever to earn money so I don't blame them.

I can consider online as a beta since of all the bugs and glitches. The people were able to do it before patches, so it's technically not their fault. Now if they used ISO script mods, then yes, rockstar should take action against it but not the current events taking place.

Well you can think what ever you want. As long as these people have the common decency not abuse gameplay glitches then i couldn't care less if they have more money than i do. You should be more worried about the invincibility/invisibility glitches, i mean look at what they did to RDR. If the fact that someone has more money than you really bothers you, which it seems to quite a bit, then you're gonna hate cash cards.

You guys need to get some perspective, the responses to the idea of people scamming a bit of extra imaginary cash out of an online game make the people screaming "cheater" and "narcissist" look like they're insane.

The game is built with microtransactions in mind. That means that the money is designed to be pretty much worthless, otherwise the game wouldn't be balanced. In a few weeks cash cards will be available and anyone with more real world money than you will have these advantages. Are they cheaters? Should they be banned?

What if someone wanted to buy the cash cards but couldn't yet so they glitched? What if their stats are reset but they just buy as much cash as they glitched? Are they still cheating? Is it breaking and ruining the game to have a fully modded supercar that you paid for with cash cards?

Pretty soon there's going to be a split between people with real money to burn on this game and people without. I'd rather race against someone who cares enough to find and exploit a glitch for cash than some idiot who is happy to hand over real cash in return for digital cars.

They need to take out the tank or buff the RPG to destroy it in one shot. f*cking rockstar couldn't think of this sh*t beforehand?

Yes, because they want to pay employees to look through millions of players stats, comparing numbers and ultimately determine whether or not they glitched to make money. All in less than an hour. Why don't you email them and suggest your idea? lol

Why is everyone worried whether or not the guy next to you has a billion dollars and the method he used to make it? It doesn't matter! Are the sports cars and tanks going to sell out? You worried about the streets being filled with tanks, which is totally inevitable anyway? You worried about the mini online economy/real time stock market, which will never work?
