Seriously you can rob 1 store for 2k in 10 seconds?

You can steal a car right outside LSC and sell it for $9000 in 5 seconds.

Seriously you can rob 1 store for 2k in 10 seconds?

I'm not smart enough to read that OP has agreed money is easy to earn.

How dare you argue with OP.

Fixed that for you.

Again, the measly fee is still ridiculous, nontheless. There's enough money sinks in the game. While small, this is just another ridiculous charge for R*. Shows why they do it, I mean, the pop up it gives you even explains it.

Thats a stupid betting system. Should either go against the house or make it a pot in public open matchmaking matches.

OK but if you are going to pick a money sink to be mad about surely the cars or apartment takes precedent over a 200$ fee that has never stopped anyone from doing anything ? Honestly.

I agree with you about money sinks but the 200 just seems ridiculous to harp about.

There's enough money sinks in the game.

No, there aren't. There are too few money sinks in the game.

It's almost like your entire argument is founded on a single flimsy idea that's subjective to the point of irrelevancy.

Also, please go look up what a money sink is, because this isn't one. It gives you your money back at the end of the job, and then some. The only way this becomes a money sink is if you're leaving the game before it's over, which is probably half the point of the fee, and you deserve what you get.

"there's literally no big deal in paying a measly fee for a game mode"

Missed the second part of my post I guess.

So instead of making $3000, you're actually making $2800. It's like making a bet and then losing the money - whether you make any back or not, you lose it.

That's how betting works...

A better analogy would be that you want to make a bet with everything to gain and nothing to lose. Seems legit.

What I'm getting at is that it's misleading. You get to the pay screen and it says that you made $xxxx, but it's not true - because it makes an auto-deduction before the start. Why not just deduct it from the end - lower the payout - instead (aside from the fact that Rockstar did THAT too)?

Basically, the bottom line is that I'm annoyed as how many money sinks they're throwing in... and then they halved the amount of money we go from jobs (making a good portion of the jobs unprofitable). I just think it's getting out of hand.

What's next - a consultation fee for entering LSC?

Taxes on property?

Emissions check payment on your vehicles?

Don't get me wrong - I had no major issue prior to 1.04, but it really seems like Rockstar's doing their best to push their Cash Cards when, everyone playing GTA Online already paid them for the disc the game is on.

Those are reasonable money sinks. Buying cars. Getting upgrades for cars. Buying apartments. Buying clothes.

All purchasable and in their right way, good money sinks. There's also dieing, which takes away money. Betting and failing in different missions.

There's plenty of money sinks, as I said. Joining a damn death match that they convinently left out as it's own seperate lobby, like it was done in GTA 4, and having to pay 200 for it, while cheap is still ridiculous.

Guys im the worst GTAO player in the history of the game and ive never been disqualified for not having 200? Seriously I don't get it. If you want to moan moan about how much cars cost or how a flashlight is 11k on a pistol when it would cost 5 dollars?

The flashlight is the ultimate weapon.

What difference does it make? That's the same thing as now, except people won't be penalized as much for leaving mid-job. Not to mention that everyone feels better about seeing a higher number at the end. Seems like that change has literally no benefits for anyone, except people who expressly ruin the game for other people.

Oh, I agree. Some prices like that are ridiculous, however I can see why they did it. Money sink. It's a weapon upgrade of some sort.

Does it really help? No. f*ck no. Not in free aim and especially not in assisted aim. Is it yet another upgrade to the weapon? Sure. That's probably why they did it.

With this? It's ridiculous to me, because this is a free feature in all their other games. TDM were always a fun mode to do with friends. It's the fact they even put up a price on it now, especially when this is also the first game of theirs to introduce the cash card feature.

Ignore list used for the first time on this forum.

Didn't want to, but can't deal with the stupidity anymore. And because you asked so nicely -

That new information to me. I dont see why you would need to pay money to play a mission or mode. I think its pretty crappy. Now I wish i glitched more money but I thought getting to 10 million would be too much. Its great that money serves a purpose but if its going to be a hinderance like this clearly was for the OP thats stupid. Why should we have to go rob a store or kill someone to get an entry fee for a simple mode to play.

You pay a fee for activities because an online persistent economy needs ways to take money off of you if it's going to give you money. If all it did was give, it would be pointless. Maybe if you had of played the game, instead of glitching, you would of noticed the fees earlier. The fees are as much of a hindrance as buying armor and ammo is.

"I'm going to block you for making a point about how it's even less productive of me to sit here and complain about your threads, then you complaining about something relative."

Maturity, folks. Maturity.

On a side note, that's still ridiculous. This game doesn't have a f*cking economy, for the last time. It doesn't need that many money sinks. It has PLENTY of them already. The fact they charge you to have fun in a damn death match, because you can't have one in the normal free mode game is ridiculous.

GTA O is becoming more of a cash grab each and every day.

Can you list the money sinks by chance?

Please don't include cars or apartments.

How would they not count? It still counts as a money sink, so why shouldn't I list them?

-Apartments do count.

- Bills for the service [TV, shower.]

- Bills for the mechanic.

- Bills for the cleaner. [i literally have no idea what this bull sh*t is.]

- Cars do count.

- Buying the cars from the online site.

- If not buying them, stealing and then insuring them .

- Tons of uprades can count as a sink.

- Clothing.

- Tattoos.

- Hairstyles.

- Hospital bills.

- Betting, depending if you lose or fail. Still takes money from the player.

-Weapon upgrades.

-Buying the weapons themselves.

- Due to things like flashlight coming up to 11k, I'd say they're already pretty established.

- The different hits/Merryweather/Lester options you can do on your phone.

And there are people who want their weapons fully upgraded. So they will buy the flash light. I did it with my favorite two weapons. They count as money sinks.

There's plenty there. Why should a feature that was free in every other game now cost money to join in on? I'm all for betting when you get into the actual match. But before hand? Come on.

You can do a mission in a Cheval Surge with a pistol just fine infact pppl I play with level 80 use pistol on survival so I don't see the point!?! None of it helps you do antyhign. Apartment is meaningless car is meaningless guns are nearly meaningless?

Most of the "money sinks" you listed are a 1 time thing, so eventually you stop dumping money into them I don't think you fully understand the term money sink, there needs to be consistent ones otherwise you will just have a ridiculous amount of money and nothing to spend it on, thus leading to huge boredom - honestly where I'm at right now.

MATE. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE.

And it's still a sink. From what I understood, other sites have buyable things that count as sinks. Do you need them? No. But it was a way to get cash from a player. It was a sink.

Do you need an apartment? No. Does the game strongly suggest it? Yes. Do you need a car? No. Does it help alot? Yes. Do you need gun upgrades? No. Does it STROOONGLY help? f*ck yes.

Armor doesn't really do sh*t. Then again, I didn't list armor.

And honestly, the clothing and weapons can be a one time thing. Legitametlly, with multiple times?

Cars. If you count the insurance on them, and having to get them back after a little oopsie great driving mechanic flip into the ocean when your friend is goofing off.

Death is still there. Ammo still counts. The bills for your house.

I mean, there's still quite a decent few which I still question why they truly needed to make it cost people, even if a ridiculously smart amount, to get into a feature that was usually free.

Really, the only persistent money sinks are the following -

1 - ammo

2 - armor (debatable)

3 - healthcare

4 - activity fees

5 - mechanic/apartment fees

6 - car insurance (again, debatable

edit - looking at my stats, i've spend the following -

$100,915 on weapons, ammo and armor

$64,500 on activity fees

$86,695 on healthcare (obviously from the bad old days lol)

From doing jobs alone, i've earned $1,142,389. I have a total earning figure of $1,311,023. So when you look at it, the main persistent money sinks in the game take less than a quarter of your income, which isn't a bad figure at all.

Gotta agree with the previous post, this game needs more actual moneysinks,

But another thing to consider, all of these things also could hault a player from having fun.. well, except 2.

Which is a completely different and multiple time done topic about how there needs to be a FUN free mode, where money truly doesn't matter which I've been waiting for. That I could go crazy without having to worry about money or insurance, but whatever.

I agree, you want more money sinks? Open the casino. To get in? VIP card. It costs you each week to keep the card. Add body guards you pay an hour to stay with you.

But to pay for something, a feature that was in every other game for me just seems too ridiculous, even if such a ridiculously small ammount.
