Yeah well, i can be a grumpy old fart. But the youth nowadays really needs to learn to put their foot down *raises fist in anger*

 

I dont want to get into a debate about capitalism, that would probably take weeks as well - but at least admit that the economy in GTA doesnt really need an entry fee on activities ...

Eh, they need to learn to put their foot down about things that deserve feet being put down upon, but as you said, that's a discussion best served by not being had here.

 

The economy needs cash sinks, and finding the balance between money earned and money spent is going to take RS a while. I'm happy enough for the fees to stay, I honestly don't pay any attention to them. I'd spend more on armor and ammo for a mission than the entry fee, and I don't bat an eyelid at that either.

I didnt notice the fee either, but now that i do i cant help but wonder what the dude(s) that came up with it was thinking ... I'm assuming their sole function is as a cash sink and nothing more.

 

I'm guessing they had doubts about how the economy would work from the start, and justifiably so. About quitting activities, i'm unsure if you pay the fee when you join a lobby or when the activity actually starts. If it's the latter, then that wouldn't deter anyone from joining a lobby and leaving before the activity starts, and you're right, we've got bad sport to deter people from leaving once the activity starts.

it should cost 1-2k to start a mission (of any kind.. races, deathmatch, team DM)

 

that way the losers actually lose something instead of getting paid soo much fking money they dont deserve.

 

its absurd that people gain money for losing in races.. all money should go to the top 3 places (unless there is less than 3.. then only first place gets any money.. the rest lose the money they paid to enter.. MUCH better that way and less f*cking race farmers.

I'm usually really good with the cash. I've only had one encounter with that 200 dollar issue though.

OK yeah I hate that psn thing because I had 50k in the wallet but 0 in the bank and I tried to buy an akuma online and it told me to buy GTA dollars that is a complete and total disgrace but even if you have 200 it doesn't bill you the 200 right it just wants to know you have it.

Those refills are there to refill your weapon, emphasis on "re". You go into matches without ammo? I shouldn't be surprised you would throw a fit over a $200 entry fee.

I... don't know about that. I lose $350 every time I start up a survival. It's deducted as soon as I'm able to control my character - blink and it's gone. Granted, last survival I did was before 1.04.

 

But it has nothing to do about how little money it is. It's the fact that they deduct money at all IN ORDER FOR you to make money. So instead of making $3000, you're actually making $2800. It's like making a bet and then losing the money - whether you make any back or not, you lose it.

 

But if you're right - if it doesn't deduct money - then I'm fine. It seems completely stupid for it to judge you based on money ("You're too poor to do this."), but at least it's not making the money-making take even longer (on top of, you know, everything being halved).
