Oh, here we go.

Just Withdraw 200 from your Bank Account and then play :)

Or Sell a Car.

This is the reason why you shouldnt deposit ALL your Money, need to have some cash lying around for DM, Races etc :)

I keep saying it over and over again.

It's not the fact of how much it costs. It's the fact you require money to even play modes like Races, DM, TDM. That's ridiculous.

You literally need money to enjoy this game in every f*cking aspect. No matter how easy it is to obtain such small amounts, fact still remains.

You don't need to have the cash on you - it works from your bank account.

OMG! You're not getting the point are you. You NEED money to play certain game modes so R* make you earn the money! That is also called playing the game. You have so many different ways to earn money and let's face it, 100/200 is not much at all!

..So what the f*ck is the point of purchasing cars and apartments and guns? THOSE were reasons to work for money.

I didn't think I had to earn money to play f*cking side activities. Even if the amount is small, and I know that, it's still blatantly ridiculous. It's a f*cking game mode you have to use money on? What in the f*ck.

I still don't grasp the concept that the game has enough money sinks in for it's imaginary economy already.

I didn't notice it until I spent all my cash. I was genuinely surprised and irritated.

The fact I couldn't just go into my friend's TDM and had to rob a damn bank first? Come on.

I know what you're saying but 1. stop moaning 2. play the game 3. repeat step 1 and 2 at all times

How can you be broke in a game where for the first two or three weeks it was out, you could farm as much money as you wanted?

Its actually quite simple, the jobs around the map can be accessed through the map, by invites or by actually going to the objective.

If you take the "easy way", and select it from the map or the invite, you will have to pay a fee..... think of it as the taxi ride over there.

I agree with you, Sideburn.

Games are meant to be entertainment - pick up and play. Not "Do what we say in order to join your friends in their activities."

I can't say I'm too upset, however (or surprised, for that matter), given how hard Rockstar's about to start pushing their cash cards.

That would be a great argument if you were being asked to jump through an unreasonable number of hoops to play with join your friends in their activities.

But all you're being asked to do is have money in your account, which isn't exactly unreasonable, isn't hard to accomplish, and as I said earlier, there is no reason for you not to have any money in your account.

It's like saying "I want to get this game, but the publishers want me to pay for it, that's just ridiculous".

More money sinks for fictional in-game money that has absolutely no worth? Within reason, yes, if it helps balance the economy.

As long as i'm still earning, money needs to be spent. I don't want to accumulate a sh*t ton of money only to have it just sit there with nothing to spend it on.

But they are really pushing hard on the in-game economy.

But my thing is, I don't mind giving Rockstar cash monies, I just don't want my in-game money for nothing.

I want to earn that million dollars, but I don't want it to take me months of gameplay (I have a job, fiancee, responsibilities etc).

I was doing fine before - around 30K/hr after expenses, but halving the mission repeats for me has made generating income too long. Last night I had a few time wasters that set me back, but after 2 hours of play I had earned 10K. All I basically earned was 5 deaths in free roam.

p.s. numbers above include free roam and just general play and are profits - taken after all expenses are paid for.

GTA dollars are supposed to be a shortcut, but it seems if you don't glitch or have the patience of a nun, it's almost a necessity.

Heh, start calling me Sister Mary then. I have no problem in taking my time with stuff like this - it's not so much that I need a goal to work to or whatever, I just enjoy the game and see no reason to rush it.

To be fair though, I seem to be earning way more than you. I average about to about $100-150K profit per night, which consists of 3-4 hours of gameplay on average.

Well i would prefer buying a cool jacket or something instead of paying an entry fee for an activity - what ? they cant come up with more stuff to buy, hell ill design some t-shirts for free, just call me up R* ... Besides the whole 'fictional in-game money' idea became dodgy when you could buy it for dollars ...

TBH i dont care, ill just make some money in-game ... But the whole thing just reeks of capitalism, and it really puts me off - but more so that noone seems to care or even take notice ...

Yeah i know thats the way it is, trust me i do - but hell if i will just suck it up and call it dandy like some folks in here ...

Eh, whinging about capitalism when discussing a game that you've unquestionably paid an arbitrary price for seems a little silly.

Especially when the capitalism in question is totally false. But whatever dude, keep fighting the good fight.

edit -

Regarding content, yeah, more would be great, and they've already announced more that we don't have to pay *real* money for.

haha I cut the stuff out of my post because I wasn't sure about it being ontopic (sorry).

I can only afford 2 hours on weeknights (sometimes 3) and with the whole "playing properly" - e.g. free roam, joining different events. I'm sure if I just kept doing survivals I could make more. I'm also only Level 40, so most high payout missions result in me getting half payouts after the latest patch.

If I focus on making money, then the amount of time I've dedicated to it to reach 1M, isn't worth $US20.

Playing just so I enjoy my experience doesn't net enough income.

Yeah well, i can be a grumpy old fart. But the youth nowadays really needs to learn to put their foot down *raises fist in anger*

I dont want to get into a debate about capitalism, that would probably take weeks as well - but at least admit that the economy in GTA doesnt really need an entry fee on activities ...

Eh, they need to learn to put their foot down about things that deserve feet being put down upon, but as you said, that's a discussion best served by not being had here.

The economy needs cash sinks, and finding the balance between money earned and money spent is going to take RS a while. I'm happy enough for the fees to stay, I honestly don't pay any attention to them. I'd spend more on armor and ammo for a mission than the entry fee, and I don't bat an eyelid at that either.

They have prolly also noticed that in 3weeks ppl have got already best apartments, 10 fully modded cars, jets, choppers, all guns with all mods on them etc, This wasnt prolly meant to happen in first weeks, or even in first months to get all these, that would explain why to lower amout of cash what you get, that ppl would play longer and not get bored cos they already have EVERYTHING!! i worked my ass out to buy that freaking 400k apartment, and now i dont have even money to buy car or not even talking about modding it, or buy new weaps / attachments on those. Sometimes glitchers is annoying me, sometimes not. i would wanna get all right now asap, but then i wouldnt feel like i would have earned those things with glitching or just spamming like races 24/7.. Maby i should have exploited when replay option was available and payment was high, in otherhand, i would have lost my interest on game very quick.
On otherhand, i have already lost my interest cos i cant get in online and money what they pay from doing even from long missions dont pay much as you use on armors + ammos on those.. I hope atleast heists would be fun to do, even those wouldnt pay out much or give rep. Maby this isnt happening anytime soon, prolly new interesting games has already came by then when R* is fixed atleast all major issues.
