Help please!

I lost my character on friday and did not create another I did what R* said and tried restarting online but still today my character is not back is it gone for good?

It might be. But there are some things you can do, to help ensure your character is saved. Instead of dashboarding, or shutting your system off, return to story mode. That should reliably save your online info.

I always return to story before shutting down.

Don't listen to these idiots who tell you to "wait". If you wait longer than 4 hours and its still not there, guess what? 100% gone

 

The cloud is never down for longer than 4 hours so when its back up and you still don't have your character ....BOOM!!! GONE FOR GOOD!!!!!!

Rockstar figured out ways to cope with the issues that have been around 1 week ago, and they pretty much worked. Now with patch 1.04, everything is different, therefore all the ways that we used to prevent character deletion, disappearing vehicles, money loss, etc. don't work anymore because the code is different. So to answer your question, yes, it is probably gone. The only reason Rockstar sais, "It might be back" is to pacify us so that they don't have to say, "No, it is gone forever".
