Anybody else find it amusingly ironic that redx165 has this huge vendetta against Xbox, yet chooses the colour green for his txt?

 

 

 

I don't have a problem with Microsoft but I do have a problem with their system that they feed lies into their sheep. The Xbox and 360 were great machines but now they are trying to ruin gaming with always on ( Sony saved us ), can't play used games ( Sony saved us ), and now they made it so you have to pay for online. Sony saw how no one complain about Live so they thought why not make even more money.

 

I also find it funny how the brain dead sheep try to defend the Xbox One 720p. There isn't much more they can do with consoles. What can they honestly do more? Make it 4K? No they can't. Consoles are going to reach their limit in a few years just like 360/PS3 did. Now I understand if one company can't get 1080p into their games like Rockstar couldn't with PS3 but if most companies can't even handle 1080p on the console then you have a problem. So far the only exclusive that might be 1080p on Xbone is Forza 5.

They did save us. You do know if Sony would of followed them which Microsoft was hopping for they would of NEVER changed any of their policies.

 

All companies want money but Microsoft takes it too a whole new direction.

 

If you don't have a internet connection then buy a Xbox 360.

Doesn't change the fact that M$ did give people without an internet connection the middle finger.

 

Also, the xbone is more expensive than the PS4 despite the fact that the PS4 is more powerful and has better graphics and can actually render most games at native 1080p, unlike the xbone, which has 720p for a call of duty game.

Oh and PS4 all the way. XB1 is an absolute disaster. This is a gaming console, not a central entertainment system. It should be designed for gaming mostly. It can't even run COD ghosts at 60fps 1080p, instead it's running on 720p.

Choice isn't hard for me at all. Xbox One for sure. Sony will get hacked again. Microsoft will make sure of this. (kinda like they did last time) You guys graphics comparison is re-dick. I mean come on, this happens every console launch. It is always your sucks compared to this one b/c of the specs. Please, not fooling me this time either. They both look good.

 

My other reasons is pretty simple. I just like Xbox better. Everyone has there prefrence. If you like PSN, thats cool. I'm not downing on you or anything. But I did notice little things that were better on 360 than PSN. Take Netflix for instance, 360 version was ten times better than PSN, easier to navigate, couldn't find movies on PSN but for some reason they were on 360. Little things like that.

 

I pay $60 for Xbox Live for a reason. Why? They put more effort into something we all pay for, and they don't when something is free. Sorry, Sony's PSN doesn't even hold a candle to Xbox Live. From simple interface structure, easy navigation, PSN still has miles to go to even come close. Eventually PSN will be a paid service for all. You will all see when the light is shed on it. If PSN is going to be as big as everyone wants it to be. (As big as Xbox Live) They will have to charge everyone and just not a small number. Sony is big business. Big business needs lots of dollars to make something better. Wana know how Microsoft made Xbox Live so good? They charged for it.

 

I know that these are all opinions on the current gen's right now and not next gen's. But, apple's don't fall far from the tree. The $100 difference is not a big deal to me. The console's come out once every ten years. Quit being a cheap sh*t. I just think that all this Sony pride is finally coming out of people b/c for ten years you have trailed Microsoft and always came in second. Times could possibly change down the road. But convince me first. Pre-orders don't mean nothing when it comes to a good service. I gladly pay $60 a year for a good service and I would pay more. PSN......get on it. (not just giving a $60 optional service, forcing people to pay $60 I think will help PSN get better and not loose my debit card this time.

Right at this moment, there is no reason for me to get a next gen console. Later down the line, I'll probably pick up a PS4, when there are at least 5 games I can't get for my PC that I want.

Knack felt like an extremely basic action platformer, and this is from a publisher that has published the great games that were ratchet and clank and jak and dexter series. It was a massive disappointment.

I agree with ya. Not getting a next-gen system until better games and such come out. I already know I'm not getting PS4, not comitted and can't handle two consoles and all the games and such at once.

 

Hopefully MS decides to release a Halo 5 bundle sometime next year.

The $60 a year is not going to brake me. If $60 is going to break you, you might wana quit buying video games b/c they are too expensive for you. I love paying my $60 a year for a service I know I'm going to like. As for the free games PSN will offer. Free games usually means games I will never play. So that don't matter, to me atleast.

 

Put it this way. With all the negative feedback from pretty much everyone on the internet concerning Xbox One. I'm still not worried that Xbox One won't be a great console. I know it will be good. I love that its a multimedia console as well. 50% my time on games, 50% on Netflix. Thats how my usual week goes atleast on a console.

 

Say I buy a scratch off ticket at the gas station every friday. One that I always win on. Why would I go a buy one at a different store at a different location?

I think you guys forgot how much the PS3 was at launch, $500 for 20gb and $600 for 60g and while the xbox 360 was $400.

 

So, $100 more today wasn't as big a difference as it was in '06.

I have sought the answers. I have played both the Xbox One and the PS4. My final conclusion: Console wars are completely pointless.

 

I personally prefer the Xbox, but only because I like the controller and dashboard layout more, and I've been with it since the original, so I'm used to it. The only actual difference I noticed in the PS4 were that the graphics were slightly sharper. They both do the simple task of playing games rather well. They don't seem too different. So everyone, stop fighting and rejoice that the next generation is finally here. Stop being childish about it.
