How long can one person simply "be patient".

Basically, I know the topic has been done, but honest question.

How the hell long can be people be patient with this game? Hyped for two weeks before release. Came out, broken as hell for a week for a good portion of players. They fix it up, stays stable for a week. Now it's nearly broken down again after a patch that cut pay outs, etc. Nice.

Honestly, I know this is R*'s first time attempting this, but maybe they shouldn't have. People can say "WELL SIM CITY WAS WORSE.". Look. Only being able to mention one release that was worse or a few others doesn't indeed change the fact a sh*t release is sh*t.

I tried being patient. And I still somewhat have fun. It's just, the game doesn't save properly. Pay outs are cut to barely nothing. Character customization is ass. Customization in itself is ass.

I'm not going to be like every other elite gamer who says "TIME TO DROP DIS THANKS COCKSTAR."

But I am saying, I hope we see some major turn arounds soon. More games are coming out, hell even WWE 2k14 and Lego Marvel, while definitely not hits but most likely stable games are coming soon that I already have preordered, but I really wanted this game to keep me hooked. Kinda sad that it isn't.

ugh i agree they really should do something at least make missions have more pay. the new updates better have 300+ missions with excellent pay. ALSO, R* CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE US MORE RP FOR MISSIONS. Its ridiculous to steal a cargobob from a military base while destroying jets and getting 1000RP. As if this isnt bad enough we cant even replay missions. I think they forgot they havnt released the option TO BUY RP.

Patience is a valuable trait to have. Seeing as the game has only been out a few weeks, I wouldn't say any of us have truly been "patient" yet.

One could argue that the game should have been perfect from release, but if we are talking about true "patience" we can give them more than 3 weeks.

You are well within your right to bail, definitely, but I wouldn't describe yourself as having been "patient". I'd say "patient" applies after 30 days of release of GTAO, in my personal opinion.

And just in case anyone misunderstands me, you all know how I feel about the current state of the game. It's a disgrace.

GTAO is a great game, completely undermined by inept management, code, and mixed priorities. Rockstar to me look like a flailing bunch with no idea what they are doing.

The damage is done, R* haven't shown even a slight interest in the game besides removing things and nerfing others.

My character is losing levels and cars to this day.

No respect left for Rockstar as far as online games go, they ruined this one by just not giving a damn.

Eh. They should have had GTA Online fleshed out and working long before they released it. How long were they working on V? They had plenty of time.

You pre ordered a Lego game? You are a hero

A game is a game.

They put characters like Howard The Duck, Deadpool, and rumored Punisher and Ghost Rider.

Wouldn't really call a cigar/ drunken Duck, a merc who makes jokes with killing people, a violent anti hero, and a hell spawn biker childish.

It's impossible to talk about patience when you lose your character twice. First during the launch, and second 2 days ago.
I cannot think of an excuse for this to be patient.
I've lost my patience already.

I completely disagree that people haven't been patient. I'd say the fact that even after the fact they had two weeks to prep it up and they didn't get the proper beta done then.

The fact it was a whole damn week before most people could even get a stable character up and running. And now, after all of that, after it still being a technical let down, they then jack the mission prices and difficulty.

Come on. It's nearly been a whole month. Progress was SOMEWHAT made.

For the single player, it is correct to expect perfection on day one. You are well within your right (I feel the same way) to be fed up with how the game is right now, but the general rule of thumb for an online game like this is "Don't play the first 30 days.".

I certainly wont hold it against you if you quit the game for good. I'm not arguing with you, I just gave you my definition of what "being patient" would be, in response to your initial question.

I'm curious why you ask what the definition of being patient is if you already have decided that that deadline has passed?

I told you that my answer is 30 days is a reasonable time. But it seems you are looking for an argument so i'll bow out here.

My brother sacrificed his life while that goat molester was in office. I am proud of what he did. But he did NOT do it for Bush...

Why not?

There's a reason why they invented the word "Bushisms". Because without being born into a Presidential family, he'd be in Texas somewhere trying to find the French word for "Entrepeneur". We are loyal to the PEOPLE of America, not the corrupt political hyenas that claim they lead our great country, while draining us of our lifeblood.

No. I have nothing good to say about Bush.

It's not just a first attempt for R*, no one has done this on consoles.

Get over yourself, patience is eternal.

Could have been worse. You could have bought Saints Row IV

+1

Stop b*tching about politics too, you guys are pathetic. Could be worse... you could live in a dictatorship like Cuba... GTA V isn't even available there and you guys would probably get killed for saying this. Be grateful for what you got. Trust me it could be a F*ckload worse.

Game saves just fine for me and the only issue was the first week connection problems.

Just hit level 100 today by grinding races and as for money I actually never do missions. I play a survival match, get my 20k, go sell a car for 9k then another survival. That's almost 50k an hour earned legit.

If you think your not making enough money then your one of those who want millions right off the bat to go buy anything you want. Tell you what, go buy some cash cards which were made for people like you.
