Why do missions spawn you so far away from the objective?

Every time I get a mission, I'm spawned at the other side of the map. It's completely dull to drive so far to steal the meth etc. is this a known issue?

I think it spawns you in the host's most recent location. So if he accepts the mission at Los Santos Airport, you'll spawn nearby there. I think. Probably wrong.

you are correct, you spawn at the hosts location..

also before starting a mission, you can see how far away the mission takes place, then you can avoid missions that are so far away, or you can take a helicopter to reduce the travel time.

Best thing to do for a mission that is really far away is to start the mission. Then when in the mission just kill yourself. After you're dead and cause the mission to fail just hit the RT (360) to restart the mission. You will now be close to the mission objective.

I always get spawned far as hell from my car. Weather i'm in it, close to it, far away.. once i start a mission im always spawned away form my car
