Do wheels change things?

I usually go for the Wheels I think look best, but I've been wondering if they actually do anything. I mean the Offroad wheels clearly look different, but if I were to use them would my car perform any better Offroad or any worse On-road?

I notice this the most with the Canis Mesa, if you pick any of the other wheels the wheels look smaller, which would supposedly change things.

I'm pretty sure that the different types perform differently. I'm not entirely sure though. I've heard people talking about putting offroad tires on their muscle cars to make them perform better on mountain terrain.

dont fall for the tricks, nothing really does much but cosmetic detail. look at your car stat bars when you buy stuff, nothing moves.

No nothing moves but you can't deny the fact that off road tires help when off road.

I'm also pretty sure that high performance tires give you better traction when cornering. My Elegy hardly spins out any more.

yea a little bit but does the 14k tranny upgrade do anything

As far what the status bars show, none do much at all except the most expensive one.

Every little bit counts. You might not see it on your stat bars in your garage, but go to a race, you'll see the full stats.

I think the bulletproof tires are the only ones with an actual effect on gameplay.

No definite answer? Wasn't expecting one but speculation, but those who think Off-road tyres make Off-roading better might it just be the Placebo effect? I mean they certainly LOOK like they are meant to offroad but...

I've actually tested this and can confirm (from my experience) that it doesn't effect performance. I've tried different tires on my Sandking, tried different tires on my sports car and did a timed test and it's no different.

I also think that it's just a cosmetic difference. It's funny to read about people switching to off road tires, etc.

If you think they do make a difference, lets see some proof.

The width does change with different wheel types.

Dunno, I'd have to side with the placebo on this.

I fitted off-roads to my Sultan, and whooped ass all over. Hills, grass, mud, dirt...

Then switched back to good looking rims. And whooped some more ass. Thought it would be spinning out and sliding, but couldn't really find that much of a difference tbh. Still kept a decent speed, still cornered well on dirt/gravel/grass/tarmac, and still climbed hills like a champ. Only thing I (might have) noticed was flatline tarmac speed seemed better?

I'm still undecided though. I think it's all in my head, but wouldn't mind some confirmation.

Nothing rarely moves past lvl 2 of any upgrade. THe visual bars that display the stats are completely f*cked, and shouldnt be trusted at all.

If they where correct, no upgrades past lvl 2 would be needed, and 90% of the cars in the game would have top notch acceleration

tire size effects the physics, try off roading bf injector vs a station wagon.. suspension upgrade is also under rated

The stat bars are only for the class they fall under. A muscle car's stat bar can not be compared to a sports car bar.

Only upgrades that crack me up are the brakes, only the top upgrade seems to even move the bar at all.

It's a f*cking placebo. Go ahead and put on those SUV rims you know you've been wanting.

if I use the I fruit app and add suspension on my car it gives it a stat boost but in game when I add one stat boost does not show :(

I could swear that putting offroad tires on my Dubsta changed it a little bit. I noticed more understeer on pavement than with the stock tires. But honestly I could be wrong, it could be a placebo.

And I've heard that tuner tires will make you oversteer and drift easier but haven't tested it. Would be nice if that was true.

I have tested out different tires and seen 0 noticeable difference in times posted on my races.

while everytime i upgraded any sort of acceleration boost i did notice a difference in times.

Personally I definatly feel the diffrence between the best high end and the best sports on my entity, with the sports wheels it feels alot more slippery not to mention they feel alot less responsive.

Basicly sports wheels feel "laggy" on the entity and the high end ones do not.

Also don't see how anyone can deny that rally wheels make a diffrence.

I just swapped out sports for offroad on my sultan and I feel a difference and I notice I dont fishtail nearly as much and seem to grip the ground better when on dirt/sand roads. Now I just need to find a nice place for rally/off road racing.
