A GTAO storymode?

Why doesn't GTAO have a co-op storymode that you can do with friends? Many other online games have it.

 

It would make GTAO much more fun, better then grinding the same mission 500 times to get rank 120 for the minigun.

I'm level 107 atm, but was reset 7 times (when gtao was still having problems) so i'd easily be 120+ by now.

 

This gets boring after awhile... no new missions...

It does kinda have a very loose storyline at the start, but it pretty much grows stale once you meet Martin and start working for him. As far as I know you don't meet anyone new afterwards. Could be wrong though since I"m only level 58.

A story mode for GTAO would be nice, hell a story of any kind would be good, with missions to go along with it. I really thought there was going to be one when I first saw the opening intro.

Frankly I kind of did expect a kind of story mode. Not as intense and large as single player, but I was kinda thinking it would like follow a type of progression similar to story mode.

Yeah that's a key element missing from online mode, the lack of story compared to SP mode.
