Giving Cash In Gta Online

I have been told that it is possible for someone to give cash and/or cars online, is this at all true or a hoax, i thought i saw it on a rockstar post but would like confirmation please?

You're supposed to be able to give cash (hold Select/Back, go to Inventory, go to Cash) but it's currently disabled.

And the only way to "give" someone a car is through a bug/glitch that spawns it a second time.

The latter is a lie. Unless you find a car, upgrade it and give it to another to buy a tracker and insurance for.

You can give other players cash. But only small amounts. If you collect a bounty or a crate you can go to inventory, cash, share, and give it to another player. I did it yesterday.
