I had my fair share of bad luck all in one day. Tried to do prison break with randoms, so one racist left and I called my friend in to come help, he was the pilot and I was the demolition. The first try? The guys died in the prison. Second try, the prison officer sped right through the booth on the way to the prison and alerted the guy who buzzes you in. The third try, I blew up a jet and just as the pilot was flying underneath me, the jet landed right in front of the plane and he blew up. The fourth try, I shot a helicopter out of the sky, and it landed right on top of the plane just as rashovsky and the guys were getting in the plane. The fifth and final try, some guy parachutes out of the plane, face plants into the cliff, dies. I quit.

I just did a prison break hiest (I was the pilot) and right at the end someone died parachuting to the beach. I was like:

I don't know which is worse, driving the bus or flying the plane all over again.

I was reminded why I do not do missions with randoms. I started up Diamonds Are For Trevor which I usually do on my own but a lev 38 joined and I decide not to kick them. We get to where the Diamonds are and I cleared out the place on my own and grab the diamonds. We hop in my car and I grab the boat, stop blow up the chopper then start going again. During the ride to the beach he falls out of the boat three times but each time I wait and let him get back on. We finish the mission.

Second go I start up again. He decides to run in to shoot the people on his own near the diamonds, immeaditley dies. I clear it again on my own, grab the case and I see him blow up a car next to mines nearly blowing up my car. We head to the boat he takes the driver seat, I figure he saw how I took out the chopper so he will do the same. NOPE! The chopper heads to us on boat I stand up to shoot it down as its getting too close and what does he do? He full speeds it in the boat causing me to fall out. Then he takes off and leaves me behind. The chopper catches up to him in a second and kills him and the boat gets destroyed. The end.

Yep sticking to friends only or me only, honestly prefer me only.

I feel like with this double cash/rp event going on now there are going to be many sad stories like this one lol.

Had 6 bikers come at me yesterday while minding my own business in my new Duke of Death. They first came at me in an armoured vehicle with a gunner on top so i thought it would be the perfect time to test how tough the Duke of Death was so just sat there and let them blow me up. Then one of them sent me a text calling me a noob. I thought you wanna play huh? ok, let's play! They were ranked around 90 to 170 and i'm ranked 318. It was 6 Vs 1 and they were using armoured vehicles so i thought i'd better even up the odds and get my jet. All 6 of them wasted thousands upon thousands of dollars trying to shoot me down with homing rockets. I was picking them off like fish in a barrel. They then tried buzzards and jets but simply weren't smart enough. As soon as someone goes off the radar you know full well their going to get a jet or a chopper. We were at the Sandy Shores airfield so i'd simply fly over to the spawning locations and blow the jets up as they were getting in or before they got in. But if it was a buzzard i'd allow them to get in it as i can evade buzzard fire all night long, lol. After about 20 minutes of racking up the kills i decided to fly over to my yacht and switch air defences on to see if they would be dumb enough to fall for it. They were. They came hurtling over towards me in a jet and 2 buzzards. My missile defence system shot them all down while i relaxed in the hot tub. They tried twice more in jets but got shot down again. When they respawned on Vespucci Beach i'd scope them down and have them mugged. I had landed my jet on my yacht and one of them came over on a jet ski and stole my jet thinking he was being clever. But i simply called Pegasus and reclaimed it so he was left stranded far out and sea, and then scoped him, lol. They then did CEO protect the yacht hoping i would attack. Instead i went off the radar and got a submarine as their yacht was close to it. Then i sank to the murky depths and buzzed about deep below their yacht. They couldn't work it out and accused me of cheating. They were firing everything they had at the water but couldn't get me as i was too deep. I just kept buzzing about below them giggling to myself lol.

It ended with 6 of them killing me 4 times. I killed them anywhere from 6 to 17 times each. And the funniest part is is the head of the biker gang has his own YouTube channel dedicated to how good he is at GTAV. I wonder if he will be uploading the session we had? *rubs chin* I'll upload it to my channel for him instead. :bbq:

I've had a mixed bag. Very similar situation to yours, also diamonds are for trevor, were in the boat, chopper is inbound, driver slows right down....so i think 'ok they know the score' and i stand to take it out, cue them hitting the accelerator and throwing me out of the boat. Luckily they stopped & i managed to get back in and shoot the chopper at the last second, i did not play another mission with him.

I've dropped into a few lobbies with low ranks only to have them kick me - IF they just want to play with friends, then erm,,,,invite only session OR close the damn lobby. Why they would otherwise want to kick me i dont know, i used to appreciate having someone of a higher rank in my mission as there was a better chance f them knowing what need to be done and not screwing up.

Had a few missions ruined by low levels, one idiot who was trigger happy and blew up the RV in crank up the volume, and other similar disasters. Last night was the worst for them, i eventually just started solo'ing missions.

The night before last i fell into a lobby with some actual good players, we spent hours flying through mission after mission with little drama, just quickly and efficiently racking up the cash, which was a refreshing and pleasant surprise.

it's good having someone to rely on in missions, none of my friends fit the bill. They either stick to free roam, or are crazy for team death matches, or just race all the time. So most of the time i either have to do them solo, or take pot luck playing with randoms. Same goes for Survivals, i love doing survivals but none of my friends are into them.

Ok, i think i will have to go back to doing most missions solo

A level 10 dropped in to 'Gentry does it' I thought I'll help em out, it's an easy mission, how could they mess up....well tonight was the FIRST time i have ever seen that mission failed. I said 'just follow me, i know a perfect place to wait out the wanted level' They ignored me, went off with the police chasing them & got the car destroyed.

Later i'm doing the hijack a tobacco truck mission, there's a level 12 & a level 39, suddenly there are a bunch of explosions, i yell 'No explosives' the explosions continue and seconds later the objective is destroyed. I pointed out that i told them not to use them, that in case they hadn't figured it out that's why we failed the mission, and that if they go hurling a dozen grenades whenever they have to tackle 10 npcs in a mission with pistols and uzi's they will never make any money.

2 players who got themselves killed at the FIRST LOCATION of LSC - leaving me to do the rest of it solo, on the bright side though, no competition for the coke packets, took $46000 from the mission including the coke. I can understand dying at one of the other locations, they are chaotic, lots of bullets flying, even the best of players can slip up or get unlucky in those situations....but for them both to get killed at the first location, that's ridiculous.

Well lesson learned, there is no mission so simple or so easy that some fool can't screw it up

today after doing a import / export car job i kept getting invites from one player to join his organization (i didn't), but while he kept trying to invite me he kept trying to run me down with his duke of death since i was near the freeway (i kept dodging him like a boss), i fired a few homing rockets and two or three rpgs at him ( it took 5 - 6 rockets to kill him).:lol:

Waiting for somebody to finish something up so I could join them, so I fire up Titan, solo. I do my usual sniping attack before I enter the hangar, clear it out, move the truck, and for whatever reason the two left engines are on fire. Great. Start the engines, get out to kill the three jeeps and take off.

I've flown like this before, but not in the early morning fog. I still took the west coast route down through the valley with the engines still ablaze. Flew and landed just fine. I felt like one of those WWII pilots coming back to base after being shot up with a single engine left intact.

you can speed it up by ignoring the jeeps, when solo i drive the truck just to the left of the hanger door, then go straight ahead with the titan & take off, the jeeps may get a few bullet's on target but have never done any visible damage with this approach. Also, flying there just aim to the left of the vinewood sign, fly until you see the airfield strip lights, an easy bank to the right & land.

props for getting there safely with two engines out

I forgot to close the auto match and a lev 16 joined in on Diamonds are for Trevor. I didn't want to kick him since it was my fault so I let him join myself and my friend. As soon as mission starts up he steals my kuruma and drives away without us and gets himself killed by NPC's. Myself and my friend finished the mission and kicked his a$$ when he tried to rejoin us lol.

Did a mission with someone tonight who tops all previous fools.

It was one of those times when the game decides to spawn you on the other side of the map to your mission, we appeared on the hill where fort zancudo sits. we needed to get to Le Mesa. so we drop down onto the road & since there was no shortage of cars, i just grabbed an npc car, one of the others got in, the second random, a level 39, apparently didnt like that.

He had gotten his Elegy, and rams the car that i and the other random were in, i ignore him and start driving, he rams us again & then starts shooting at our car. The car i'd robbed was a Tornado, and in that Tornado, i soon left his Elegy behind....he was a horrible driver.

I end up beating his Elegy to the destination & as soon as he get's there he starts ramming and shooting the tornado again, i was fed up with him by now and jump out my car & open up on his elegy with my automatic shotgun, which gets him out of the way. It was lucky he left when he did because i was just about to pull out the RPG

We get the first part of the mission mostly done, just have to drop the package off to Gerald, cue this idiot deciding he was gonna drive up and down the street duelling with the npc gangsters who chased us, while me and the other random were waiting at Geralds, the idiot get's himself killed, so we go to grab the package and deliver it.....cue the idiot ramming us again.

I really don't know what was going in this lads head, one of the most persistently stupid players i've ever seen, all of this because i wanted to drive myself to the mission & the 3rd player jumped in the car with me. :facedesk:

I feel like this is some sort of cheeky pun...is it? Sounds like your Titan certainly needed a few new props anyway.

Today I was branded a modder........let that sink in for a moment. This kid was looking for groups, and I joined, said something about MC contracts. So I join, couldn't find my mic, I overhear them talking. Said a level 44, earned 100,000, etc. Etc. Level 311, earned $1,852,570,127. Yeah, he's a modder. This is only one of the reason parents need to stop picking up the game for their kids, GTA 5 and GTA online are two different things, most of us know this by now. So in STORY MODE I earned that much money. On GTA ONLINE I earned $89,372,640, and there's many players who have legitimately earned more than me. Always been legit, but have never been branded a modder before, today was the first. So I sent the guy that kicked me from the party a message to top it off, "I did complete Criminal Mastermind, but you branding me a modder is a compliment."

I entered a session where a CEO group of 3 were playing Headhunter. Everyone knows the objective of Headhunter. The CEO group has to assassinate the targets in the time limit and the other players in the room have to stop them assassinating the targets. They had (had being the word) jets and choppers so i took them out in my jet. Then when they got in a car i took them out again. I stopped them from assassinating the targets and won the challenge and got everyone else in the room a cheeky little bit of money. I know, Hurrahh! Then all of a sudden i get 2 votes to kick me from the session. It was obviously them so i said to them I'd report them for abusing the kick feature. They claimed i was a griefer and said they had also reported me. I told them that it was my job to stop them assassinating the targets and that that was the game, but they didn't like it.

Hate people who cry over a game. :panic:

There's this belief that CEO missions are just givens and that people should leave groups alone (except for Piracy Prevention).

I look at things like Headhunter as a challenge. If I'm against four players and their task is relatively easy, then it's a good challenge for me to prevent them doing what they please. I'm not griefing, I'm playing the game.

I think the obvious exception is delivering CEO cars. Common decency/Golden Rule/law of reciprocity usually dictates that those sorts of things are to be left alone. Let people make their money. There's no need to use a jet just to be a prick. You don't gain anything from it. There's no monetary reward.

Yeah - Headhunter can split the session for sure, lol. Spawned near a target while headhunter was running and heared one of the CEO guys approaching with a tank. Time to train my "kill a tank" skill. Climbed up a silo and drained my stock of pipebombs on him. No good idea, his buddy came and straved me down in his Hydra. Found good cover and shot the Hydra so it was smoking - pilot fled away. Turned arround and sniped the tankguy on foot. 2:1 - I'm fine with that and doesn't wanted to ruin their mission - just expand it so they earn a bit more cash. So I ordered my bike and once I was on my way to ammu, they began to votekick me  . Seroius, for two kills - a tank and a smoking Hydra? smh - left the lobby on my own.

So had a lot of fun this weekend.

Me and a guy in my crew were having a shoot out at the beach, doing nothing to anybody. Next thing, I get Mercs sent after me. The Mercs were sent from a group doing Stand Your Ground (4 in the MC), now I know what their intention was, as normally I do Stand Your Ground to provoke people into a war, so I knew it was their intention....but I wasn't in the mood for fighting a war with just me and my crew mate.

I messaged him back saying, no thanks. Next thing, the other guy sends a mugger after me. Again, I'm not giving them what they want. However as soon as the MC work is over, they all decide to go off in a car.....I decided to get in a police car and put a sticky bomb on it. I then go off radar and drive up to them, (they have no idea) it's me.....And I then proceed to kamikaze myself and take the 4 of them out. After this I have a shootout, they kill me a few times but I manage to get more kills on the 4 of them than any of them get on me....After they try to run....I decide to repeat the sticky bomb on my insurgent this time and drive right into the group of them taking 3 of the 4 out.

As soon as I do this, they kick me from the session. Really annoys me that I was minding my own and someone provokes me, yet they can't handle what they started so kick me.

I'd say 60% of the time people try and attack me when playing Headhunter. I'm perfectly fine with it, its the game. I'd never throw my toys out of the pram and start kicking people like a child that hasn't gotten its own way. The extra challenge is good fun win or lose.

A good 50% of the time people try to attack me when playing CEO cars. Usually in choppers and jets. But you can go off the radar and have other ways to outsmart them, so i see that as fair game too. Here's a cool vid of someone trying to destroy my CEO car in a chopper.

I sometimes try and destroy or steal others CEO cars but in inventive ways. For example. Getting a high wanted level in a Ruiner 2000 or an armoured kuruma and just driving in their vicinity is fun. They get hails of crazy police cars in their way and crash the car bits, lol. Or finding where their warehouse is and placing mines in the entrance. A guy fell for that one 4 times in a row the other week (He killed me first) Then he sent me a text saying he hoped my mother was dead, lol. Some people may say i'm a bit of a c*nt for doing it. But i see it as a way for them to learn and get better. You live and learn as the old saying goes. After all, how boring would it be if everyone did the same thing all the time.

That's cool and all, but the CEO car deliveries are seen as a grinding/money making thing. Much more so than Headhunter, et al. I don't bother blowing people up. People can't really "learn and get better" when there's a jet after them. Anyone with skill can dodge homing launchers, so the person has to pull out all the stops to avoid getting shot down. Ghost Organization is costly and off the radar is only good for so long, so that tactic seems counter intuitive to a degree.

I'd rather let people make their money with cars, but challenge them when it's an actual challenge. As opposed to ruining their CEO stuff for your own amusement, which let's be real, is the primary reason people do that sort of thing.

No Use For A Name

It finally happened. After 840 levels and some financial decisions that would make Donald Trump cringe, I finally hit $10 million in my bank. Probably not a huge accomplishment, but I don't glitch, dupe, or do any other kind of cheating.

Not picking on you or anyone else, but I've made 10 million since last Tuesday. I had a week off from work and took advantage of that double $/RP on missions. :) Edit: I farm Dubsta2s, as well, but that's an Easter egg, not a dupe.

Forza Harrd

Oh man. I never blew up anyone's crates before. Why did I do it?! :(

I spawned in free roam after stunt races and looked around and there were all these red squares on the map, I thought it was a free roam challenge or something. So I rode up on one, it was a special crate? Something like that? Lol Idk I couldn't pick it up so I put a sticky on it and rode away. Dude in a helicopter flew right up on it before I was barely gone. KaBLOWEEE the red crate the heli and the player all disappear from the minimap. I felt good about my quick thinking in getting a kill, bad in knowing the player didn't have a chance.

I really felt bad when it turned out to be a member of my crew. Which I no longer belong to.

I still don't know why I did it. It was a like a psyche class experiment or something. o_O

Of course they can learn and get better. They can learn ways to avoid the jets or take the jets down. Homing launchers aren't the only way to take down a jet. What i learned to do if a jet was after me when delivering a CEO car is to get out of the car and run a little way away from it so it makes it harder for the person in the jet to see and they always seem to aim for you thinking your standing right beside it. Then you can damage the jet and make it smoke with guns. Once the jet is smoking it then starts to stall and homing rockets will hit it. Or homing and standard rockets work if you catch them when the jet is swooping in towards you. Even experienced users in jets get hit by them. Or once you've made the jet smoke from gunfire they often fly off to get another jet. While their doing that you deliver the car. Even if they shoot you they often miss the car and can't see it because you ran away from it. Or you can park up under some cover as i did in the video above, get out and deal with the jets and choppers. Or you can go off the radar, ghost organisation etc. If your good at driving you can drive a long distance in a 1 minute off the radar. You have 2 choices with off the radar. 1.Use it as soon as you leave your warehouse. This means nobody will even head in your direction for an entire minute as they don't know your even there. Or 2. Wait until you see or think someone is coming for you and then go off the radar and use that minute to escape. As for Ghost Organization, its only 12k. You still make a profit on the vehicle even going solo. You should always check the map before you try to deliver a car too, check for what dangers are about. Do it right before you exit. I always quickly check the map and weigh up if its worth going for it or not. I even check if players are near jet spawn locations. And you can steal other peoples CEO cars and make money from them by delivering them to an alternative location.

I also find that a lot of people these days are pretty sh*t in jets. Terrible aims, often crash etc. If you see a jet on the map before you leave the warehouse check the players rank. If its a high rank player over 200 the chances are he will get you. If they are under 200 the chances are they aren't that good in a jet.

You can also hire associates that can guard you in a jet or a chopper if you want. So you have plenty of options.

Outsmarting people is the key.

I don't think people want a challenge with the CEO cars though. It's a headache if you have to deal with extra sh*t.

It takes at least four minutes to deliver a car. That's more than enough time for someone to go off radar, get a jet and shoot you down. Sounds fun.
