Back in my day, I had to survive on my own. I had to struggle on the streets and find my own first car (Impomte Pheonix). I had to rank up and earn my weapons. All I had back in the day was a pistol. And boy was it a grand day when I unlocked that SMG and finally the AK. I had to bite and claw and struggle my way through the ranks, I didn't have things handed to me.

 

Nowadays you spoiled next gen kids get all these ridiculous weapons right off the bat. I had to work my way up to level 100 to finally get that RPG, and I had to learn to aim and lead targets to take down aircraft. I wake up one day and all these new punks get a auto lock homing launcher from rank 1? And don't get me started on your whining about jets and karumas. Back in my day it was the f*cking blitzkrieg and we had to take down legions of seemingling invincible troll tanks armed only with our wits and an RPG... which we had to EARN. Back then, we could still be killed in passive mode. We had hackers show up in our garages and blow up all our cars and kill us. We had the dark ages of rock star black listing harmless emergency vehicles. Personal tanks, jets, griefers and trolls around every corner. We had do deal with wall breachers and godmode. We couldn't just order a jet from Pegesus, we had to walk 15 miles uphill both ways to go get one!

 

You damn kids have it too easy in Los Santos these days.

I remember a month or so ago me and three of my old Liberty buddies buddies loaded up GTA IV and partied up, and attempted to join an online freemode together, only to be put in one by ourselves...so we steal a Lokus and start cruising the empty desolate streets. We cruise over to Colony Island, once our base of operations and site of a lot of player battles, now an abandoned island, hasn't seen action for years...we cruised up to the factory at the other side of the small island, once a fallback spot, modder-spawned car storage, now an empty gutted building. Hell, we hadn't been there for so long, nature took it back. Liberty was empty...so...we quietly and sadly drove to Francis International and got on a flight back to LS...as I sat in my seat, watching FIA get smaller and smaller, a tear fell from my eye.

I was on freeroam driving around and ended up at LS Customs. There was a guy in it and after selling a Turismo and getting killed as I walked out, I realized I could make alot of money by killing him/her. He came out and I shot at him but he was in a Stirling and got away. I grabbed my Zentorno and chased him to his apartment. When he came out he snuck up on me while I was messing around with pedestrians and shot me in the back. We were fighting for a while... Three cars were blown up blah blah blah. After like ten minutes of fighting, he decided to run over me with his Cheetah. He blew up every car I got in and ran me over with his stupid Cheetah...killed me everytime. I did a heist and then switched sessions and after thirty minutes or so of getting money to buy the hydra I was killed by the same guy in his Cheetah

You hear those stories about idiot players ruining a heist. Well, today, I was that idiot player.

 

A notice came up to do the Pacific Standard - Convoy setup and I wanted to do it to get the Savage. From the hosts apartment to the bridge everything went fine. The problems came when the convoy showed up. The host was trying to get everyone into his armored Kuruma and for some reason my character was not getting in when I pressed X. Finally my character got in and we took care of the Merryweather people. A player gets in the truck and takes off, then I notice there is no driver for the Insurgent. So I got in to drive. I go to turn around and I went to far on accident and the Insurgent went in the lake. I was so pissed at myself.

 

Of course we did not pass but at the screen to vote to do it again 3 of us voted and the fourth left.

 

I wish I could apologize to the host for my screwup, but I do not even remember who they were.

Had a player trying too hard to kill me in Passive Mode because he wants to drive my Virgo. Nuh-uh, only my friends and crew alike are allowed to drive my cars, so what did he do? He uses Sticky Bombs on me, which obviously didn't killed me, but went as far as to blow my Virgo to kingdom come, which led him to bleed his own money. Same thing happened to my Osiris and not only did that idiot player blew it up, he also blew up the other player-owned Gauntlet which resulted him to pay up +$25,000 from insurance. Oh how I love to make him a Bad Sport for doing those kinds of things...

went to LSD to mod my brand-new Osiris. Literally the second I drive out, there's some dude waiting in front of the ramp, grenade launcher in hand. He quickly comments on how only an idiot would use the rockford hills LSC in a public session (whiiiiiich is kinda true.)

 

I guess he had never blown up an Osiris before, because as soon as he did he yelled, then laughed his ass off about the insurance cost. He seemed mostly chill with it, and didn't try to kill me again afterwards. I love this thing.

I use passive mode when someone is attacking me when I don't want to be attacked, that's when I use passive mode, as I'm not a tryhard who thinks only pussies use 'pussy mode'

Deathmatch try-hards are so funny.

 

I'm running TDMs, some guy on the enemy team spams RPGs and Minigun for two games. Next deathmatch is Forced + Pickups, guy leaves two minutes into it because he wasn't doing as well without his big weapons.

Get thrown into a Public session after quitting a $$$$$ RP DM that started before I had the chance to leave.

See a Red jet flying around, decide to have some fun and go off radar to pick mine up.

Blast that fool out of the sky. He went passive as soon as he respawned of course.

I left to pursue a bounty in Paleto and a few minutes later there he is in another Hydra. I circle around him and blast him with my cannon.

Later he's back after I'm back in Los Santos..... in a Savage? I laughed seeing him in that death coffin before shooting it down after he started firing at me.

last night i was playing the fleeca bank job with a random (i wasn't the host), we cleaned out the bank and fled in the kuma.

i was the driver, i slowed down just enoght to match the speed of the choper, one of the cops chasibg us rammed are car so hard he sent us flying onto the chopper's magnet, we flew away (and i laughed at what the cop did).

One thing I miss about last gen was passive mode still being able to be run over, always laughed my ass off when players went passive around me and I just ran them over

Best vehicle I've found to use is the Hearse as everybody wants on, Just park it at LSC next to all the other cars to make it look like it just spawned randomly

Thought I'd actually join some heist missions for once (only done the first one to completion). So I join a setup. Get outside the apartment and the street is littered with those swimming rings. I joined the setup from near that boat place by the river so that might have been why. Wish I could take pics on missions (I'm a last gen peasant).

i've also seen swiiming rings outside of an apartment when doing a heist (i've seen them today, i tried to take a picture of them forgetting that you can no longer take pictures while doing missions).

today i finally go into a heist where we didn't have a troll or low level noob, we completed it and when we spawned back into freeroam, i forgot i had a bounty on me ($9k), i was killed on the spot by the host of the heist, we got into a pvp deathmatch i lost 6 - 2 (the last death we killed each other) after that i put a $9k bounty on him but he and a friend came after me on a sanchez (i killed them both and got my $9k back).

i got on the sanchez and drove home (in paleto bay), while i was doing that he put a $9k bounty on me and i said to myself "thank's for the money"!

I just had my first race as my new character, an overlong 12 minute off road gta race for sandkings with customs on. I had to use a stock sandking but was in 2nd for the best part. I got close but 1st place shot my tyres then blew me up with a proximity mine a bit later. By the time we got to a bit that looped back on itself, 1st place got griefed by someone coming the other way and I entered 1st only to explode by landing on my roof going down a mountain. Towards the end, 1st place had stopped on an incline and shot my tyres so I couldn't climb it. I reset my car, got out, killed him and stole his tuned sandking. I led the rest of the way right until I hit a tree and he flew into the side of me - he ended up wedged against the wall a few feet from the checkered flag and I was stuck on a tree. While he was spinning his wheels I got out, shot him and ran across the line on foot.

Flying in a valkyrie towards Anna, doing cleaning the cathouse. Almost arrived (I was at sandy shores already) and disconnect. Well f*ck

Yesterday, something fun happened. There was a Lester's Distract the Cops that popped out by the docks, I drove there and there was no traffic at all on the way. Once there, no cops spawned for the duration of the activity. Weird, but these were the easiest $10k I made on GTAO.
