Some Love for the Dewbauchee Rapid

My current sports car of choice is the Rapid (non-convertible type, has better stats apparently). At first I was a little disappointed with its ability to take tight turns. I originally chose it because of its high traction and thought that might help with turning...I think I was wrong.

 

However, the car has really grown on my not only because of its sleek and simple looks but also because its damn near impossible for someone to wreck me in a race.

 

This car sticks to the ground like white on rice, people literally wreck themselves trying to pit me. Anyone else noticed this?

 

Either way, I'm now a solid advocate for this car because of its traction and its fantastic acceleration which I think is the fastest among sports cars and maybe even better than some supers. Feel free to correct me on that.

 

So why does no one like this car or have people just not given it a shot because of the lower top speed?

I bought it off the car site, I believe both versions were available for purchase with the convertible being more expensive. But when I looked up the stats the convertible was actually slower.

The car makes good time, you just have to know how to drive it cuz it gets heavy understeer if you enter a corner under too much throttle. It works well on tracks with medium/high speed sweepers, you can get back on the throttle hard at the apex and it holds its line perfectly on the exit. When the back does step out it's very neutral and predictable. It suffers a bit on really long straights though when facing cars with high top ends.

This is true, its nice to just hold the gas the whole 2nd half of the turn and not worry losing your line.

Every garage should have an Aston! I personally have the Exemplar though, might as well get a big luxurious one! I have a Carbo as my Sports car.
