Grinding for points and trophies have ruined most games.

So many CAPITALIZED words that I'm just not SURE if you're MAD BRO, or have a disease that makes you YELL every other word. Anyways, I completely think your idea is STUPID and that these CAPITALIZED words are POINTLESS.

I remember the times when battlefield multiplayer had no stats and everyone at the same time had the same weapons. I had more fun in the older ones than in any of the latest, stats whoring probably started with BF2.

There was a time when people enjoyed the competition and gameplay associated with online games. Playing with friends and strangers LIVE online was enough for most people to find enjoyment.

NOT ANYMORE. It's all about imaginary financial status, or who has the most useless "stuff". Grinding for endless hours just to see a pixelated trophy pop up on your screen, or to watch XP, RP or whatever other "points" are used on a game increase, has replaced good old fashioned competition.

With THIS game in particular, people begged Rockstar to make money have a purpose, and I was one of those people. Guess what? Rockstar LISTENED, and while the system is obviously flawed, it is being worked on. I have NO problem with them adjusting everything as long as they eventually make it better. The problem is everyone ELSE who is constantly harping about money, RP points or whatever status symbol objects they feel entitled to. Status, money and points have replaced the good old fashioned fun of interacting with others in missions, gameplay and side activities. If there isn't enough money or RP involved, they aren't interested.

I have invited countless people to play Golf, Tennis and racing, but hardly anyone is interested because they are too obsessed with grinding for more status garbage. Racing NEVER gets old for me, because every race is a different experience due to the nature of competition, however, many people STILL complain about repetitiveness. Many of these people are the SAME people who spend countless hours playing COD or Battlefield, which are the most repetitive games in history.

I wouldn't mind seeing the money, RP and trophies disappear for a month, and just have an open world where anything goes, with nothing to lose, and nothing to gain. I guarantee people would have more fun just for the mere fact that they are no longer "keeping tabs" on who has what, or who LOST what.

the game is what you make of it, if you wanna do things you think are fun make posts about doing those things and find people who want to do them as well. you can build communities of people that are like minded even if you're the minority. its like people who actually role play in mmos. the game doesn't have to be about grinding if you dont want it to be. and to be fair I think people that do grind a game do enjoy the gameplay and competition of the game thats why they spend so much time trying to get to a place they feel most comfortably competitive with the amount of stuff they have. Another thing is like having all the stuff to grind for in the game doesn't really effect you in any way if you have a group of people that just want to do the things you want to do then it shouldn't matter if people are even grinding. Also you dont make that much sense because you complain and say the game should have nothing to work for (which I could care less if you had to work for the stuff or not). Then you also say the people that grind this play games that have minimal grind to get things cod and bf all day which doesn't really make sense because once you finish that grind and you keep playing all day with all the stuff in the game isn't that the same thing that you're talking about here playing the game with all the stuff just from the start?

OP. If Rockstar were to take away all money, XP, kill count etc. You'd have almost no chance of playing tennis.

People would be too busy murdering each other with Gatling guns
