Random crates not showing up for me

Not sure if I'm supposed to be able to get those random crates that are dropped every now and then. I'm level 31 or so, and my buddy told me that I have to be some where in between level 25-30 to be able to see the locations on my map. Do I have to complete more of Ron's missions or something?

i haven't seen any at all, and I'm lvl 71..

 

I had them appear when I first started and it skipped the tut and unlocked all missions for me, but otherwise nothing.

That's pretty weak. Must be some sort of a bug.

i have followed my friends to crates because they don't show up on my map. And im still not able to pick them up.

Im level 17 and i can see the crates. You have to kill the guys protecting it and the shoot the crate open.

Maybe it's a bug and why I'm usually the only one in a session going for them.

You've misunderstood what I'm saying. They don't show up for me AT ALL. I've gone to a crate location with a friend whom it was showing up for. WHen we got there, all I could see was the signal smoke and the crate. I couldn't do anything with it. I don't even get the notifcation saying, "Hey! There's a crate, go get it and get some cool sh*t!"

Same here. I get te notification but don't see anything on the map. Is there a certain location they drop to? (level 22)

I'm level 35 and I have never gotten a notification/seen a crate. Ever. So obviously there is something I need to do to unlock this. I have no idea what though.

Sorry for confusion i didnt misunderstand. Just someone said you need to be level 30 or something and was just saying i am lvl 17. Also im usually the only player that goes to collect so maybe it is a bug and only some people see them or ppl miss the notifications.

Rank 83 and I dont see them on the map or get any notifications. I only know they exist because friends talk about them

I think it depends on doing missions and getting job points while in a session for your character. If I'm just screwing around and not doing missions on a new session I don't get notifications but when I get a significant amount of job points ron calls and notifies me of the fact crates will begin to drop
