Franklin stuck without missions!?!

I have been playing the last few days and noticed I can't get any new missions for Franklin. I thought none of my characters were getting missions but Trevor was able to do the old english couples side mission and the airplane hanger drops, but nothing for Franklin, or even Michael. I researched this online it seems to be a common bug that Rockstart has confirmed and said you have to restart the entire game, which I got 25 hours into. I have found several threads online about this.

 

I am right after doing some mission for Devon, I'm supposed to steal the JB007 but no mission will show up. Apparently if you do a mission a certain way and then get the title update before this newest one, it glitches your game and can't continue,

 

Has anyone experienced this and has anyone figured a way around it? I am really mad if I have to restart the game, Rockstar has really dropped the ball.

I had this same problem, just make sure every mission /side mission is done for whatever character possible and if your lucky the phone will ring which will bring you a mission. Try using the phone to call other characters as well, good luck.

Hi I'm having a similar problem, I just have question marks on the map and the mission I was on is when Trevor buys the strip club and then Lester said that he's starting plans for 'the big one', I have no missions only question marks on my map, I've completed all of franklins assassination missions but I'm not too sure if Ive gone wrong somewhere.

I completed "Surveying the Score" for the main missions and "Bus Assasination" for Lester, after that Franklin gets no missions. I did some side missions with Trevor, after that none of the characters are showing any missions.

 

I called Tonya and did all her missions. I called everyone on the phone. I tried free roaming, playing multiplayer for an hour and switching back, taking the taxi around, turning the phone on sleep and normal. I can't get any calls, no one will answer.

 

I have the text about getting the JB007 from Molly, I call her nothing happens. The mission won't trigger no matter what I do.

 

Rockstar confirmed this glitch and said you have to restart. I'm gonna play online and hope for a patch.

 

If you are playing this game, keep using different save spots so you can go back if you get stuck. I am really pissed at Rockstar, they released a broken online mode and now a broken single player campaign. There was a glitch with this on Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, but Nintendo fixed it, even though the save files were "corrupt".

It's a corrupted save file, it happened to me with the towing missions not appearing, Rockstar said to start the game again. Luckily I had an earlier save I could go back to.

 

Now my LS customs and clothes shops have disappeared and won't let me enter them, but I've done 100% so no way I'm starting again.

For what it's worth this just happened to me also. Last main mission I did was Surveying the Score, now no one has any more jobs available. Ive tried advancing time by sleeping and taking taxi rides but no dice.

 

I was taking my time enjoying singleplayer and had over 40 hours in. Very annoying.

Question: I’m stuck in GTAV Story mode because there don't seem to be any other missions to do. I’ve checked a guide and I know exactly what the next missions should be, but there is no market on the map. I know I’m using the correct character to trigger the mission and I made sure my phone was on to get important calls. What should I do?

Answer: Some players haven’t realized that certain missions are only available when playing as certain characters. This has most commonly been reported around Surveying the Score, Bury the Hatchet, and Deep Inside. It may happen elsewhere too. Try playing as all three characters for a while to see if the mission opens up. In some cases, missions will only appear after a certain amount of in-game time, so also try doing other activities for a while. Some missions are triggered by phone calls and those might not arrive when you are in certain locations, so be sure to not stay in the same spot if you are waiting for a call. We recommend consulting a guide such as the Brady Guide (http://www.bradygames.com/promotions/promotion.aspx?promo=139300).

One possible work around, which has worked for some players, is to load the save file and use the “Quick Save” option to force a save to a new slot. After this is completed, load the new save and check to see if the issue is resolved.

Alternatively, in some cases, taking a cab ride, and then choosing the “skip” option, which forces a load screen has been known to resolve some progression blocks.

If you have tried all the suggestions above and cannot get more missions to appear, you may have a corrupt save file. This may happen for a number of reasons, including on rare occasions when applying a Title Update. If you think you may be affected by this issue, please reload a previous save file from before applying the TU. Unfortunately there is no way to fix save files once they are corrupted. Everyone really needs to start saving their progress about every 5 or 6 missions-- you have 15 save slots-- use them.
