Oh me? Im a changed man now. I used to be good at the game and kill my attempted assailants, but now i play the right way. If someone tries to run me over I realize that they probably aren't very good so i help them by running into their car. Thats not enough though so I also attempt to hug them to make sure they know they are doing alright! Im also planning on going back into auto aim lobbys, cause aiming is too hard. How are people going to shoot me with their love darts otherwise? I really hope rockstar just gets rid of anything you can use to kill people. Thats not what gta is about and never has been.

What people don't get here is the social component and the level of self reliance. You get 3 warnings before you end up being a bad sport.
You don't get into these situations for no reason and that is where the denial begins. You all know Lamar from the game, he always thinks he got it down and he always believes he got the next best idea but in fact he is trouble and a loser who will never leave the ghetto because he belongs there.

People blow up cars because they love it or because they are attacked and can't get themselves out of it. Lot's of people here got corn holed by some gangs that come in groups to attack one player but what the frigging hell is wrong with you that you would risk your status and keep engaging into this battle that you cannot win? Walk away and you are still a good sport. This is where self reliance and maturity comes into the equation, the mainstream doesn't want to engage in those fights but they also don't get missions if they stay in a session alone.

The whole idea is about honor and respect for others and Rockstar is doing a kick a$$ job teaching people the hard way. If you are being warned and keep blowing up cars please don't come here crying because you have been friggin warned.

I agree. This criterium to label bad sport is a bit nonsense. You already pay the insurance and bounty killing sometimes ends up with explosions.

 

There are worse things to do that don´t get you bad sport label. Like driving the wrong way in a race.

It's an incredibly flawed system that seemingly looked good on paper to R*. The key point being that if someone is chasing you in a car, whether it be because you have a bounty on your head or not, you should be able to use whatever choice of weapon you like, whether that be a sticky bomb, a well timed grenade or a pistol. The fact of the matter is you still end up paying their insurance and they'll have their car back, in perfect condition, in a matter of seconds.

If anything, popping the tyres on a personal car is far more "grief" worthy than blowing it up.

 

If you're blowing up personal vehicles CONSTANTLY, (x amount per minute or something), THEN you should receive a warning or a strike cause clearly you aren't simply defending yourself, you're being a d*ck.

Maybe I am an Ahole, but what does that have to do with anything? The game has a feature for players who don’t want to get blown up, passive mode, or even a private lobby. The game lets you blow up players cars!! Why can I blow up your car if I’m not allowed to? This isn’t some glitch or cheat; it is a basic game mechanic. I really don’t see the big deal with having your car blown up anyway. Why are you whining about this? Spawn camping is way more prevalent and way WAY more annoying and costly.

Look, players shouldn’t be banned from playing with the friends for the weekend just because they were playing the game. If Roxy didn’t want you to blow up cars then they shouldn’t have made it to where you could, and if they WERE cool with it, then why are they punishing us for it now?

The whole bad sport system is bogus. You shouldn’t get banned for quitting matches either, that’s just stupid! I don’t care if you now have one less player to kill, or flip off at the end of that race you just won. If I don’t want to finish this race, or tdm, or survival, or whatever, why does that justify ‘mom’ grounding me? The same ‘mom’, btw, that had me film pornography during her campaign. And now I can’t quit early (even if I’m the only one in there!!! Or if I’m with my friends and they are cool with it) or destroy someone’s car that spawn camped me for an hour?

Instead of banning you to “escape from LA”, they should just put a bounty on your head that you can’t wait out.

Not just that but it also contradicts the way the game is played in every other version of the game. Stealing cars and destroying them is about as GTA as it gets... I feel like if you can't keep me from doing it then it's your problem.

 

When the servers were down over the weekend and none of the missions would work I got dumped into free roam with a bunch of guys who were going on a killing spree and blew up my friend's car (with me in it) so I sticky bombed them. It was so fun. Then I got a bad sport cap and turned off my system. The cloud was down so when I rebooted it didn't save anything I had done and I had no dunce cap.

 

Blowing up those jerks' cars was easily the funnest time I've had playing Online so far (aside from being chased by the cops in tank). I just wish there was a free-for-all room you can join where you can have tanks and jets and rocket launchers etc and be allowed to blow each other up without consequence.

 

Basically what I want is GTA IV online again.

Bad sport label is BS, I'm at lvl33 and I don't think I've blown up a single players car, probably because I spend less than 5% of my time in freeroam, but if the tools are there then I should be able to do what I want, with the only recrimination coming from other players, not R*s rules, which as already stated are flawed anyway. If OP wants to use a fighter to take out a guy, he should be able to without worrying about being warned, esp as it takes skill get the damn plane in the first place, then to hit the guy considering the speed you travel and the lack of a lockon. Not nearly as easy as go to airport, pick up Buzzard and spam. What they should do is nerf the medical bills so it doesn't hurt you in the wallet when you get killed. Saying that, the Bad Sport lobbies sound like where all the fun is at so the stickies are probably gonna get used liberally soon lol.

I've seen people purposefully use next to destroyed cars to grief people, run into tanks at full speed, as well as pour gasoline on their windshield and grief people.
