So you could only do in that 1 mission?

I think michael still has the outfit for it. Anyone tried to take any of the two main characters in a heli and tried it?

I think some buildings may have like a rappeling bar or sonething like the FIB?

Why include a detailed set of actions for a type of movement you'll only use once?

Maybe when heists come out for online, we can rappel then?

On a side note, is there any window washer carts in the game? I dont like using an aerial vehicle to be the only way to reach the top of a building.

1) It was actually two missions.
2) Why would you want to rappel in free-roam? It's goddamn boring. If i wanted to get down from a building i'd just activate my parachute.

1. Whats the 2nd mission?

2. To add to the list of things that you can do in GTA game... It could also be used in heists in FR..who knows. No one would ever suspect a person to be hanging on the side of the building. Imagine a blip in front of you..your cautious that there hiding in front of you or in a heli or on top of a building but you dont see them..then you get shot because you questioned why would we need to rappel

Point is..it could have its uses.

I guess this is the new "So I can't hang on top of trucks outside that one mission in GTA IV?"

You could use it to actually climb buildings not just rappel them. Shame they didn't leave it for freeroam.

Rappelling? What you think this is? The Sims?

Just kidding. Seriously, R* is all about the cinematic approach>open world gameplay with this series now.

Nah, they're different.

The one where you....

SPOILERS

choose an approach on how you want to destroy some information. You choose to go in the building by skydiving, or going in as firemen.

The first approach you get trapped by the FIB and the guys grapple out of the building to escape.

I know you can do it from the merryweather heli because the pilot does not land to let you out. you can repel or jump.

You can repel in 2 missions

1."Three's Company" Trevor hovers the chopper over the IAA building while Michael repels down and kidnaps the guy.

2."The Bureau Raid" You repel in each approach.

Down the elevator shaft in the Fire Crew approach

or down the side of the building in the Roof approach.

I would think that if it were possible to repel in freeroam someone would have discovered it and made a video of it by now.
