Room empties of all players randomly?

I searched but couldn't really find and answer. Has anyone else been in a room where everyone leaves at once, leaving you as the only player?

 

I wasn't kicked nor was I given bad sport. Out of the blue it looks like a mass exodus above my mini map of all players leaving and leaves me alone or with one or two other players (not friends or crew)

 

This has happened several times without explanation.

It's happened to me before. I think it might be like the langoliers, and in reality, we're the only ones leaving. The rest probably keep on playing just fine.

It happens to me all the time, and I assumed the same. Nice langoliers reference that movie was trippy.

Only once for us, in a full 4 player party. From our end, she left, with the message "xxxxx left" or whatever the correct spelling is. To her end, we all 3 left at the same time - our chars left cover and walked. It happened only once in patch 1.03.

 

We were STILL in the survival and she was STILL in the survival - it was like the game split group into 2 identical sessions.

Happens to me way too often. It gets annoying when on a Race or Parachute Jump, because you won't earn money in the end because you are finishing the job alone.

I guess the people above are right, but I guess it can also happen if your Internet connection is disconnected. At least, that's something I would assume to happen if I was in free mode and all people left at the same time...

 

... although you probably get the message like "Connection to Rockstar servers has been disconnected. Return to GTA V.". Never had such message though, only the cloud related ones.

its when you lag out for a few seconds, my friend has it a lot and I will stay in the lobby with everyone else playing fine and on his screen everyone left the game

Happened in rdr also. Just a hiccup in rockstars top notch servers I believe

Yeah it's definitely happened to me. I'll be in a full freemode session, and then I'll check like a couple minutes later and literally no one is there followed by a bunch of leaving messages on my screen

happened with me a few times, except my friend stayed in the session with a few other people. when i joined back there were only 4 of the like 15 that were there before, weird

Happens about once a day for me. I got lucky last night. Had a jet chase me around trying to kill me.

Not tryin to bump an old thread of mine but this DID 100% work for me. Since I set my settings back to default I have not had a problem, only once or twice since update 1.06. it happen to me today and yesterday, leaving me and another player left in the FR lobby. the first time the guy tried to vote me out when it was just the 2 of us. (jerk) strangely enough it's happen twice in 2 days, both times at around 7:30pm (Pacific)

You lost your connection to the server happens to me at least once a day I don't bother playing much on weekends as it happens hourly even on missions. GTA has a crappy server I have opened all my ports set my nat to open have a 100mbs internet but still dc all the time. Yet any other game I have no issues.

Back in my IRC days, we called this a net-split. Its happened to me several times, sometime half the lobby goes sometimes all of it. I attribute it to network stability / server issues. I doubt that on R*s end we are connecting to an individual physical server. Its more likely an instance if a game server (software) running on a cluster of physical or virtual servers. I imagine that glitched load balancing could cause this to happen. Could also simply be your local provider or anything in between.

Been happening to me for the last 2-3 days now, very frustrating, ive figured out when it says all these players left, that in fact it isnt that at all, it just me who has left, they are all still there.

 

Also i found answers of: its your internet connection, you lag too long yet my net is perfect, i can play other online games perfectly, only GTAO gives problems so it cannot be my connection, it is surely R*

 

Im actually not playing much anymore due to this as i get bored playing with myself online lol, whats the use.
