EDIT: I was just wondering what the car most looks like from real life cars. I have my opinion of an Evo, wondered what others thought

I've had this discussion with a mate, it has hints of both, buts it clearly made to be a tuner, so could easily be both.

I would say it's definitely got the Subaru look aswell as the evo look. They have the spoiler available that is on the typical 2004? Subaru

I'd have to say the car more resembles the new model 2014 Impreza Wrx or an Evo if anything, not so much older generation wrx's

The sultan is a near complete knock off of a first generation Lexus IS300 with very minor additional resemblances to the WRX. If you notice the names rockstar uses to name their cars, you can get a hint as to why it's a more a Lexus than anything else. For example, the schwartzer, shafter, surano, and dubsta are all benefactors, rockstar's knockoff of Mercedes Benz. Notice they all have the same parent name of benefactor. Karin in Karin sultan is a knockoff of toyota (the other Karin cars represent a corolla/camry and other toyotas, can't recall off top of my head). And we all know Lexus is a subsidiary of Toyota. If the sultan were based solely off a WRX or Evo they wouldn't have named it a Karin. Make sense?

IS300 looks with the rear wing of an evo V (high wing), rear light clusters of an evo VI and the sound of a subaru (boxer) mixed with a 4WD drivetrain from either an evo or impreza. Certainly does not look like the newer models of either brand, part of why i love it is the dated 90's looks.

 

Oh and paint both colours classic 'red' and use the non carbon double vented bonnet (evo IV bonnet), it looks best like this.

 

Also, white 5 spokes (believe i use stanced eg)

 

It will look awesome i promise. I threw both the RS bumpers and skirts on it although it does look good with just the front lip on.

Yep...anyone who knows about automobiles can see the trend there. The giveaway for me was when I saw the Karin Rebel truck...that's a late 80's/early 90's Toyota 4x4.

Subash*t? Hahah but the IS 300 is better? It's engine lacks the power. If you know how to drive your WRX you will have no trouble smoking an IS300. If your are a good driver you can even beat a GS400 in a 1/4 mile race with a stock WRX. Learn to launch your WRX off the line and there aren't to many cars that can hang in a short race. Just don't go racing big V8's on the highway with a stock WRX. Thats not what a stock WRX does well.

I never understood drag racing. Look at me, I can press three different pedals (mainly two) and jerk a stick while going in a straight line in a car that I did absolutely no work to.

 

See I understand drag racing if every part (or most of the parts) were installed and finely tuned BY YOU. But just because you can buy a $30k car and race it in a straight line doesn't make you a street racer. It makes you a rice fa**ot. Real racers race through the canyons at night with spotters watching for traffic. But you are probably a scared pussy who has no skills behind a car except for being able to jerk a stick fast and push in a few pedals.

There is a huge difference between a car with 3000hp that weighs 1000 pounds and has no suspension and a rally car that weighs 3000 pounds with less than 300hp.

 

Professional DRAGS TAKE SKILL, and car that is under 8seconds for a 1/4 mile takes skill to drag. Hell even some of the 9-10 second cars take some degree of skill. But dragging in the back parking lot of denny's does not take skill. Draging an AWD subash*t (with traction control on mind you) does not take skill. Its pedal mashing, and seeing who can wiggle their dicks faster.

 

I willing to bet the next stupid thing out of your mouth would be me saying that a .22 has no recoil then you would come along and post that "I bet you couldn't shoot a 50 cal its got major recoil"
