What is a griefer?

This is the first mmo I've played if you want to call it that. Can someone explain to me what a griefer is?

Haha, I never set out to kill someone repeatedly unless they kill me first. After that its game on and I spend all money on mercenaries and health bills. It's definitely enjoyable but i think the other guy or guys is usually having fun to.

I'm not a griefer but if I see someone getting too close to me then I'll kill them before they can kill me. Even if he didn't intend to kill me then it's his fault for getting close to me.

If someone gets too close, I kill them, if I get to close, I expect a fight, but try not to start it. I have had one person send mercenaries after me, set a bounty on me and it was the most fun I have ever had in GTA ever. This makes online. GT: Caligastia, come and get me.....I do try to be a good sport about it though, have had my a** handed to me a couple of times, and I deserved it.

You know that person that tries to steal your car, or to repeatedly kill you for no reason, or tries to run you over repeatedly? That is a griefer, fortunately they have a thing in GTA Online called bounties, which allows players to get a bit of revenge, or passive mode. If you're smart about it, they'll never get to you, not even in a car when you are in passive mode.

You can spend money so other players can't hurt you, and vice versa. But it only works if you are on foot. It will switch you back to normal mode if you enter a vehicle. And I think you can still be ran over while in passive mode. But I agree with the OP. Usually I'll drive around bored, robbing stores and stuff.

 

If I see that there are a lot of players in the lobby with the same crew, I'll usually start harrassing them, just because there are so many of them, lol.

Recently ive been robbing players of thier vehicles that Simion or how ever its spelled lets you steal for cash and in the middle of a gas station/liquor store robbery. Not really griefing but I be trollin' hard after I get a players cash bank it in the atm and then enable passive mode like a BOSS when they try to come after me lol. Its hilarious.
