Have been saving up money. Approaching enoungh money for the buzzard, which I was planning on getting. But after reading that it only spawns on Helli pads, I think I'll pass.

 

So now I'm thinking tank. How does this spawn when you summon it?

 

Does it get delivered to you like your mechanic would a car?

 

Is it worth it if you're not, generally, a bad sport?

I wouldn't get any special military grade vehicles regardless. Rhinos aren't invincible, Helis will be destroyed too easily.

Have already done this on multiple vehicles.

 

Kind of disappointed in the purchasable items outside of vehicles in this game.

There is none. A tank will last a little longer but you're just better off finding those pricey items.

 

Why not be a Good Samaritan. Help out players who aren't doing as well. Give them a heavily modified car so they can make it their personal vehicle.

Are the tanks and helicopters stored somewhere so you can retrieve them whenever they're destroyed?

no the helicopters spawn on Helli pads, where helicopters apparently already Spawn anyways. And I've heard that the tank is just delivered a random location that you have to go and retrieve it from. Complete BS that you can spend almost $2 million on an item and have very limited access to it.

There is no point in getting a tank or heli.

Because I've spent hours upon hours playing and grinding to save up the money that I have. If you think there's some less fortunate people that deserve it why don't you do the same and then give your money away. I'll give mom money to my friends and crew before I give it to some random player.

 

If there really that less fortunate there's always the cash card option.

Those vehicles are available through Pegasus. They will have them at one of their locations. Which usually happen to be really far from where you are when you need them. Merryweather is a better option than buying a helicopter. You can even have a friend shoot the pilot and take it. If you shoot them too many times Merryweather will not work with you for a while. Tanks are more fun to get from the base. Usually takes a good team of 3-4 and a couple CargoBob's.

Good idea, shooting a Merryweather copter pilot. That, also, does sound like a much more fun way to get a tank. Have stolen one once before but that was just goofing off. Not a coordinated tank "heist" so to speak.

 

For almost two million dollars for a tank or a decent heli, I'll master both those options for free before I ever purchase them.

At level 110 (lol), you aren't going to see cargobobs and the like spawn around helipads, only buzzards.

We have lower level crew members leave the area then come back over and over until they appear. Then grab one for each member. We stole 3 tanks with 5 Cargo bob and 3 people running interference last night. Coordinated freemode Shenanigans would have to be my crews specialty.

Well that's what I meant. Just buy what you need in bulk like ammunition, then give the rest to your friends.

my friend and I used a cargobob to steal a few tanks and then drop the tanks off in the city was fun. We now own tanks. There fun to just drive around the city you have to call them in and it cost 1k for every delivery. They are very strong and take a lot of damage most times but cops that ram you a lot and blow up will damage it over time so be leary of that. Also the down side is that there are a lot of players who when see someone in a tank will either vote to kick or just keep trying to kill you no matter how many time they die and usually they use personal cars and its a eazy way to become a bad sport. On the positive side you can call it in even during missions which is sometimes a good thing.

Actually a Buzzard isn't such a bad Idea. I can think of a couple of Missions where I could use a Buzzard. Usually I'll call lester during a mission for a Helicopter and 9/10 times he'd point me to a Buzzard on the Hospital Helipad in Los Santos.

 

What sucks is that when you do a Lester Mission, you can't call Lester for anything he's allways on "Voice Mail" but having your own Buzzard is a still effective.

na its just a one seater which sucks it would be cool if two could ride it.

If your going for the fugitive platnum medal your gonna want a tank, and I would go for the buzzard 1st if you do buy one, the buzzard is very useful for alot of missions.Along with all the other military vehicles, mainly at the moment they are all good for having a laugh with ya m8s, im sure when new missions and heists come out your gonna need them.but defo go for the buzzard 1st.

The tank spawns at the top of the city near the movie theater or race track and yes the Buzzard spawns on helipads. I have both, and I would say if you are into doing missions get the Buzzard. Hands down it's the best all around vehicle for hevay missions. I use it on most Martin missions. It's fun to fly, fast, versatile, and it can hold four people (fun with friends).

 

The tank is cool. Which leads me to my second suggestion. If you like trolling/griefing other players in free roam lobbies, while as others have said, it's not invincible, but it is terribly fun to roll around in and blow people up.

 

But don't take their word for it... you can do a lot....... of damage before getting blown up in a tank.

 

So, in summary. If you're into doing missions/leveling up etc and need something versatile that can get the job done buy a Buzzard. If you just want to have some fun in free roam get a tank.

 

Oh and let me add, heists are coming out soon, so you may want to think about that. A heli trumps a tank in a heist IMO.
