How To Make Sure Your Game Saves!

I logged on to being set back $136,000 and down a few levels the other day. The next morning it returned as they said. The next log-in, I lost it all again, and it would never save despite it never giving me any messages about the cloud being down, and despite the orange circle appearing to signal a save, as well as occasional text telling me the game saved successfully.

 

Here's How To Resolve It!:

 

Go to LSC in your personal car, and buy an upgrade for it (any upgrade. I personally give it the cheapest $780 paint job). Drive it back to your garage and drive inside. Wait until you see the orange spinning circle signifying a save. Then, press start > go to Online > Leave GTA Online. Once you're in single player again, I wait a few seconds, pause it, and then wait about 2 minutes. Go over to the Online tab again, and go to Choose Character instead of just clicking on "go" or whatever, and click on your character to enter the game that way. Your money and rep should be saved and working! You may not even need to wait the 2 minutes or whatever, I just do it to be safe.

 

I know, it seems like common sense, but for whatever reason, nothing else and no other methood of saving and/or re-entering the game has worked for me since the patch except for this. Thanks goes to my friend for letting me know it saved for him that way!

 

It's been working for me ever since, so I hope this helps some people who were as frustrated as I was that it hadn't saved for almost 3 days now, and always kept rolling me back!
