Even if I knew who that was, this still wouldn't be worthy of a thread.

He was the director of Diablo 3. He made everyone hate the way the game was heading, useless patches, and ignored the community (he did his own thing) in the end he stepped down as a director, now the game is heading in a better direction. Even though he already made a mess of the game.

 

Kind of feel the same right now, just not to the same degree as Diablo 3, but I sure hope Rockstar will get their heads out of the sand.

Isn't it funny how ONE person can ruin a game all by himself? Same thing happened with Star Wars Galaxies and John Smedley. f*cker ruined the most original MMO ever.

I feel the same way TC, in an extremely short time frame they have managed to make this online experience quite miserable. And I'm not even talking about the server issues.

Nice to see that some people are FINALLY on topic... But yeah, I agree that R* hadn't f*cked this up that badly. It's still a brilliant SP and MP experience, IMHO. I'm really loving the experience but still wishing for more. The initial buzz ain't there anymore...

It's pretty amazing yeah, i remember all the hype i had when Diablo 3 was released, but the release was beyond horrible, but that wasen't it. Jay Wilson decided that listening to the players who were playing the game were wrong, and he completly ignored the community, who were screaming for change, he even made the game focus completly on the auction house, so blizzard could make some money, so the game ended up being pay 2 win. Well now Diablo 3 is getting better and better, even though i don't play anymore, and the new director is a much better one, i heard the auction house is also going to be removed.

 

Well well, let's hope Rockstar will be listening to the community, and not trying to fix stuff that doesn't need fixing. GTA is far away from the bad shape diablo was in though. Still have hopes for GTA online, and i do still enjoy this game, if i play with friends i can play for 10 hours straight, but playing solo is a different story
