Signed out of PSN at the start of missions.

Started happening just today, otherwise the game has been remarkably stable for me. Network connectivity tests show internet access works, but soon after starting a mission I get a message that an error has occurred and I'm being signed out of PSN. Can sign back in, but the problem repeats. Game is essentially unplayable. Using ethernet, computers on the same switch aren't even showing lag spikes or network interruption. Seems to only happen shortly after starting a mission.

Sounds like an I.P issue. Setting up a static I.P address for your PS3 will most likely fix this for you. Or refreshing your network settings on your PS3 so your assigned a different I.P address.

Then why would the network test show the ps4 could get an IP and connect to the net? It seems like a PSN issue specifically with GTA Online.

 

 

Sounds like an I.P issue. Setting up a static I.P address for your PS3 will most likely fix this for you. Or refreshing your network settings on your PS3 so your assigned a different I.P address.
