This is what autism looks like ladies and gentlemen.

When everybody else is agreeing with the idea, trying to be an idiot to "look cool" makes you look worse than I assume you are.

I'd like this I'd also like the fact if they'd add in different customization options to cars like let's say picture a car from madmax or deathrace shields spikes etc.

First, It sounds like R* would literally have to redo the entire map and much of the mechanics of the game itself to accomplish something like this. They spent 5 years making this. That would be a very daunting task.

Second, I agree that the world and the variety of landscape is absolutely ideal for it. Or a ufo invasion. Or a natural disaster. Or nuclear devastation. Or literally any form of open world gameplay one could imagine.

Third, (and I really don't mean to completely knock the idea the OP clearly spent considerable time on .... but) when I think of an "idea", I don't expect to read a description of almost every zombie survival game I've ever played or heard of. How about something a bit more ... original ... that could actually use existing mechanics and assets in the game? Here's my idea:

It wouldn't be a stand alone mode. Occassionally in freemode in real time the server randomly "abducts" a player. Briefly you see your character lifted above Los Santos and the screen goes blank for a few moments. Then you see yourself float back down to a random spot on the map. The world is distorted using existing camera effects. You are now in Trevor's "rage mode". You deal double damage, and take much less damage and you consume no ammo. Also the map is no longer available nor can you access your apartment or LSC. All NPC's appear as aliens. Police, who appear as clowns, are imediately dispatched after you and ALL npc's attack you on sight. Other players are notified that you have been "infected" and you show up as a glowing green dot on everyone's map. It is in everybodies best interest to go after you now. To begin with, there would be a monetary reward to whomever kills you. More importantly, if you are not taken down within a reasonable amount of time, another player on the server is randomly selected and the "virus" spreads. Once your "infected" character dies they respawn back to normal. But, if other "infected" players are still at large, you have a higher than average chance of being reselected for "infection". This continues until all infected players are killed and the infection is stopped ... for now. While infected, you rack up points for kills. Police kills earning more than regular npc's, and player kills worth much more. Upon death kill points are translated into money. Conversely, the longer you stay infected the higher your "bounty" for other players. Just as with bounties, the infection follows you should you change servers (and infected players could use this to coordinate literal server "invasions"). Obviously can only work on public servers.

Probably needs a lot of ironing out. Most likely not really doable. Pretty much made it up as I typed. But I don't think it's been done a million times. Maybe for good reasons, haha.

You know what's weird? I absolutely hate Zombie stuff, but I think this is a genuinely good idea.

Sounds really fun, but sounds like you're asking for a new game entirely.

I could do without a lot of those mechanics, and just have an open world, free-roam zombie survival game type.

What they could still do, is add a "Monster DLC Pack", that drops random monsters on the map that once killed, take a while to respawn. For example, they could use myth creatures (bigfoot, lochness, chupacbra...), there will only be one on the map at time, or one each at a time, and once killed take a few days to respawn. Don't think that would be to hard. Think it would be cool to be flying a helicopter over the ocean an spot a lochness that you could kill... Or add a group of zombies that respawn only in one part, I've seen some empty settlements on the hills.. I think this would be insanely simple to add to SP/MP. Imagine free roam MP, you get a text that says a "Bigfoot has been spotted in Vinewood Hills, whoever kills it gets $1000 reward..."

I like the idea +1. I had similar ones , wishing they would have it out in time for halloween. hopefully one day we'll see something like this.

I agree that it would be too much asking them to re-make and change a bunch of things to make it look apocalyptic, but it wouldn't have to change that much. Make buildings look dirty, add cracks in the road and on highways, add some vegetation. With apartments, peds, online phone services, traffic, and missions gone then this probably would be doable. I excluded missions for this because it's not a new game entirely, it would be a DLC and there's only so much you can do in a DLC or expansion.

nice ideas but if it happens it will be like the red dead zombies. there is allready dayz and the arcade zombie survival game on the xbox arcade games. but it would be good.

Not this crap again, topics that look like actual information and turns out to just be some made up fan-fiction sh*t. I remember a ton of people were making these topics when in search for gtaV information and it got so bad the mods made a section to get them out of the way.

If they were to do something zombie, i would like them to focus on the outbreak phase.

Just a lot of chaos.

Will probably be way too much work though lol. A complete new game basically. But man, would it be sweet. Live news updates on Weasel news, Sirens everywhere, the state of San Andreas breaking down before your eyes.

Basically this

or even a playable TLoU intro with free roam and cars

Ahh well, maybe one day :dozing:

That is waaay too much content to be added with a DLC.

No it's not, it's a bunch of little things. They could do it if peds, traffic, apartments, etc were removed.

It's a good idea OP, wouldn't expect any big dlc like that anytime soon though.

Maybe a dlc like that would make the players use stealth more, now its really pointless having stealth.

Yes the stealth would actually be worth something in this. Let's say the more stealth you have, the more silent you are and are detected less by zombies.

it's sort of like DayZ.

This is hardly a groundbreaking idea - and Saints Row 3 already did the sandbox-crime-zombie thing. We know where to find zombies if we want them.

But +1 for where you said "Zombies will be realistic" - funniest goddam thing I've read all week.

Like I said, there's been a lot of zombie games before, but I have no doubt this would attract a lot of people if it became a DLC. I think the map is perfect for it. And by zombies will be realistic, I meant they won't have mutated powers, or super fast, or like the ones from Left 4 Dead lol. I'll fix that.

Yep, totally agree with ya. This map is just screaming for a Zombie outbreak.

And yea, any undead fan knows that you meant Romero's zombies when you said "realistic" lol. I did anyway. although runners are starting to grow on me :)

OH sh*t: just popped in my mind........CLICKERS!!! now that would be sweet

f*ck yeah, Romero's zombies are the best. Although the zombies were f*cking awesome in World War Z, we'd all get raped if they were like that.

They did it in RDR and it was really cool. Can't imagine it on GTA though, would be the greatest DLC ever!
