Armored truck attacked need 3 sticky bomb blows to open the door

I like to attack armored truck because i can get easy money,but before the patch 1.04 PS3, i only need one sticky bomb to blows the back door of the armored truck and the money will drop but now i need to use 3 times sticky bomb until the door is opened, seriously this game is getting harder and harder..............

its just a glitch. happened to me last two nights.

 

i even had the sticky blow up the cars behin the truck when it was stuck to the bakdoor lol

 

i jus finished robbin three trucks tonight and it took 1 sticky each. dont worry lol

-P.S. I never need anymore than 1 sticky. And a two man crew with a heli-chopper works too good!

Pull in front of the truck at traffic lights and it takes 3 pump action rounds.

1 for the driver, 2 for the back doors.

I managed to do it with just one bomb about twice in the past couple of hours.

Chucked one sticky on the back of the truck, had no effect at all when it blew up. So I used a grenade launcher on the next one I found and the whole thing exploded, giving me no cash.

Did you land the sticky right in the middle of the doors? You have to kind of get both for it to work - I've hit them on the very edge of the one door and it didn't go - but it works first go every time I put it across both doors.

 

When in doubt, throw again - they won't notice you tossing the stickies (hmmm, that sounded different in my head...), but they will notice when you blow them (there I go again, oh my...).

I always manage to blow up the goddamn thing up everytime I see one and never get any money. Im just waiting for Michael Caine to show up afterwards and my misery with armoured trucks will be complete.

I agree with OP. The same t hing has happened to me. 2 stickies and the doors don't open, 3 and they do. My car also blew up after the first explosion, so although I got the cash, it cost me $3.5k in stickies and insurance. I'll defs be trying the shotty next time.

damn. i got access to them by like level 28/29/30

 

try doing lesters missions. also try playing in an invite only room so you can keep the cash for yourself

 

fighting others is fun but only after your used to robbing the trucks

Stop using sticky bombs. Just use a shotgun. 2 shots right between the door handles will do the trick.

to OP when this happened were you in sort of like a chase or was the armored truck stopped. This happened to me when I was chasing the armored truck and I threw the sticky bomb, it looked like it stuck to the door so I blew it... nothing happend (I could have missed it since aiming while driving can be tough).

 

Nowadays what I do is just park my vehicle/heli in front of the armored truck (I find it funny that they don't go after you or question you unlike the singleplayer) then just walk up to the back doors and throw my sticky bomb there, then walk a few feet and blow it up--this method is flawless and so far it worked everytime.
