Crizonic
What is the point in buying a flashling for your gun? we arent playing Left For Dead and the auto aim takes care of finding folks..... so wtf?...... why waste so much money on something so seamingly useless? You're obviously not aware that there is a free-aim option in GTA V. The torch helps you see when you're in dark areas.
Vaymasters
Also it says in game when you select it (not purchase) that it helps with locking on.

"so much money" Dude.. $300..ish. And it looks cool as f*ck. And helps you see in the dark, like a real life torch... /thread
nitr0monkey
I think it's useful especially in free aim servers, you can also turn it off so why not? Edited October 21, 2013 by nitr0monkey

tresshold
the suppressor is useless in the game. just like carbombs, nobody steals your car because they have nothing to do with it other then to destroy it if they have the finance.
TakinThyBacon
I think it actually serves the purpose of enabling you to aquire targets in the dark, if memory serves correctly. I think there is a description of this when you are in ammunation buying a flashlight
-TommyVercetti-
Also it says in game when you select it (not purchase) that it helps with locking on. Is this true?
nuer
Too bad the frame-rate goes to sh*t when using the flashlight.
rojovo74
The flashlight could help with those pesky headshots that are required tasks in some missions for getting the gold ranking for whatever mission. The one task I could do without is having to complete a mission within a certain amount of time...I'd much rather be able to play the missions at my own pace so I can concentrate on fulfilling the other tasks during a mission, such as GETTING HEADSHOTS lol. I mean, 15 headshots? no damage to your car? suffer minimal depletion of health/armor? IN 4 MINUTES? Who do you think I am...Mr. I never mess up...I'm just that good Man? lol. helresa
I have also noticed if you are not aiming and then you bring the gun up to aim with the flashlight, the NPC's are sometimes startled by the light which gives you a short time to take them out. Silent Dogwood
Useless for Online, and it costs something ridiculous.
AntonNZ
Yea, you can turn it off. I used free aim for single player, and the torch was a must have for dark missions.
MitchJ90
Some of us are over 10 years old and are good at the game so don't use auto-aim.
