SITTING DOWN OPTION / FISHING ACTIVITY / LACK OF MEMORIES

All NPCS Can do it, BUT the player CAN'T. There are chairs, couches and benches all throughout the beautiful country that i want to be able to USE / SIT ON just like in an Elder Scroll game. I also want to be able to sit down and relax in my hot tub in my mansion while playing as FRANKLIN, or sit at the mountain top and stare at the sky and the world around as TREVOR or even the forest areas where we can see random animals and observe the sounds and just absorb the environment around and stuff, or when i am staring at the waves standing on the sand at the beach as MICHAEL with an ability to smoke a cigratte or cigar on the beach. I also want to be able to sit at the bar or the strip club. I know this is a pretty gripe, BUT this creates a much DEEPER and SATISFYING experience as you are more EMOTIONALLY attached to the characters LIFESTYLE and stuff.... i think the only time you can now sit down anywhere is when you're driving or getting a lap Dance.

A few early official screenshots of the game showed people sitting down in subways AND also another pic of a boy sitting beside a lake with a far wide view of the city.

I saw a few NPCS FISHING at the pier or somewhere else in blaine county..the water is beautiful but i wonder why r* din't think of how to make USE of all elements of the game..a small fishing minigame with michael at one or two places would be very fresh.. and many more such things can enhance a games quality..creates a beautiful memory here and there

Big change R* could make to the quality of the Freeroam is by creating an emotional attachment between the Player and the Map World or the Daily Lifestyle.. triggering that part just enhances the already detailed world and makes a much richer interactive experience..This is what a gamer remembers far years after the game is outdated.. the time , the emotional involvement, the fun, the fresh and rewarding, satisfying moments.. r* need to work more on that aspect...

I would rather they fix up my problems with the main gameplay and add in the things they took out from IV before they add sitting. IMO they got the whole 'living breathing world' thing that pulls you in good enough.

You need to relax, why sit down when you can shower hell on cops and strippers?

I did/will do that in Gta 1 , gta 2 , gta 3 , gta 4, gta 5, gta 6, gta 7 etc etc etc..

But the hope is that since the world gets more and more beautiful with every release..there is more to do than just shower hell..just like they decided to include yoga..which was something surprising considering a game that is made for only showering hell.. but they did it.. so they can include this as well.. i'm very 'relaxed' with how gta 5 turned out.. i just mentioned a few things i personally felt were lacking or could enhance the game.. broaden the feel of the game

Be honest. If fishing was in the game, how often would you sit there just to fish? You would try it once or twice but that's it. The feature would be pointless. I would rather have one extra colour for cars than fishing.

Has any one played Gothic 2?

I totally agree with OP esp. when you consider those elements are so easy to implement.

They fixed some long time issues and improved the realism lacking but I still do not get how Rockstar could easily overlook them and just finished it with unnecessary additions in replace of basic things still absent.

Gothic 2 is a long forgotten game but you will see the basic ideas for that time in an RPG so well executed.

If you are complaining about not being able to sit down or go fishing then you need to return GTA V and buy The Sims.

Ive personally played Skyrim and i can tell you now id happily sacrifice sitting down in Skyrim to actually make the game not a pile of garbage.

I'm guessing you ALSO sacrificed a decent GTA ONLINE game to doing some yoga-asanas and having an empty world with letter scraps scattered etc..

Sitting down would have been a nice touch, if I do say so myself. It wouldn't be a game changer but it would add to the immersion.

This is the stupidest argument anyone can ever bring to the table when talking about GTA.

And yet, I see it happen at least once a day on here.

People, be honest, you really, absolutely cannot compare the Sims to GTA and instantly dismissing a very valid topic (hey, I'd like to be able to sit, too) with 'go and play the sims' is just a stupid thing to say.

These two games are worlds apart. Sure, they share some elements, but really, it's just a dumb comparison, a dumb bit of advice. Why would someone that wants to play GTA, but would like a few realistic abilities that are easily possible in the game, be better off playing the sims? People always suggest it but never explain why - and why is that? Oh yeah, because they've seen other people suggest and think they're like a total cool guy if they say it themselves.

Seriously, enough of that now.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

This is for certain; you can't tell me you didn't grin from ear to ear the first time you reversed out of the alleyway in GTA3 with 8-Ball and realized the player put his arm over the seat next to him and looked out of the back window.

I felt the same sort of feeling when I noticed clothes could be soaked or half-soaked for that matter, or that you could sweat through the back of your shirt in V. Oh and also, can not forget how the flip flop sandals actually flop against the heel of your foot as you walk.

These little touches mean absolutely nothing when you really think about it. They're not game changers in any way but they're sure damn, f*cking cool and being able to sit down would have fit the same profile.

Now the fishing thing. I can't see why this couldn't be done since we can hunt. I mean, if they can script triathlons to come with the works, even with a Weazel News helicopter view over the race, they surely could have thrown in a fishing component where based on the size of the fish you set a new personal record similar to drive distances during golf or something.

If you truely love this game then you will spend a lot of time in this game world..

I will go on a rampage against the cops but after that's done I'd love to sit down by the water and watch the sunset and the waves roll in(even more so online with friends)

Even the biggest baddest criminals in the world know how to stop and smell the flowers..

The OP dedicated a wall of text to the fact that he wants to sit down. Does this not seem a bit excessive to you? He then says yoga sucks yet wants to go fishing, LMFAO.

The OP just comes off as a spoiled little brat who hates when he doesn't get his way. Rockstar isn't going to include this useless feature just because a total of five people want it. How many times did you actually sit down when you played LA Noire? I know I never did.

Nobody cares if you want to sit down in the game. If it bothers you so much, then f*cking stand next to a bench and pretend you are sitting down, or just sit down in your car, you have a f*cking portable seat right there.

TakinThyBacon

There was something like a three page thread on "sitting down", before the game was released. I asked then, and I will ask again...... WHY IN THE HELL DO YOU WANT TO SIT DOWN IN A VIDEO GAME? Now I could understand wanting to go prone, but sitting down, really? If that is your biggest complaint about the game then i would say it was a huge success.

I wish we could smoke every where like in online,or vice city. But the worst thing is i was waiting to get high, since the game got announced. Not that we cant get everywhere high, like you would think from the screenshots and trailers. But the high/drunk feeling is to short, its like 10sec.
