how do you feel about players who ram or pit you in races?

I don't mind bumping, but to deliberately take you out of the race as many do, it gets to me.

I counter that by giving them bad rep and avoiding them in future. lol

One PIT-ter got their comeuppance in a race with me last night, he was 1st, I was 2nd and he kept blocking me, not letting me overtake as I did so he tried to PIT me which caused me to spin off but as I did so I reversed into him taking him out too. He wound up coming last and I managed to get back up to 5th.

But you see it many times, they would rather take you out altogether instead of them finishing 2nd. If I see someone coming up my arse faster than me, I move over to let them pass. I don't try and block them or take them out of the race. Then of course you get the ones who do overtake you and as a thank you they shunt the front quarter of your car causing you to spin out.

You give a bad rep for using a function that ROCKSTAR put into the game? How does that make sense? Personally, I think it's pretty childish. "Hey, you didn't race like I want you to, so now I'm going to tattle on you."

It's a game. You get taken out, then there's another race a few minutes later. Or you could learn how to counter them, which makes you a more formidable opponent. End of story. No need to be a hall monitor, Bobby Brady. ;-)

As an awesome guy once said ... "By tattling on your friends, you're really just tattling on yourself. By tattling on your friends, you're just telling them that you're a tattletale. Now is that the tale you want to tell?"

:-)

So you're now defending people who try to win by being an ass? It's just like the kid who threw the controlled out of your hand once he was on the losing side. That's how annoying ramming is. And I think someone who is plagued by noobs with inferiority issues has every right to report his ass to avoid him in the future. By the way, your last quote is out of context. Reporting assholes is what is right, seeing both people are behind a monitor and the ramming assholes are most likely closed for mature discussion.

If someone does this in the middle of the race, Im okay with that... that shows the guy is desperate and trying to win. I hate it when people start doing it as soon as the race starts. With that kind of players, its only one of two starting points which are safe. 1. When you are ahead in the starting line or the last one.

It's annoying as f*ck. I played the 'Down the drain' race with supercars. The first race I was leading, and then some c*nt PIT'd me from behind. I become 2nd. At the first replay, I got rammed again but managed to get 1st. The next two replays I got annoyed as f*ck. I was far leading the race, then some c*nt came from the other side of the sewers and rammed into me to let his fa**ot boyfriend win. Yeah, if you can't win by skills, don't try to win by being a total dickwad.

If you're using the word "fa**ot" and are over the age of 13, then you deserve to lose. It's not their fault you suck at racing and can't deal with someone who can pit you. I've dealt with them and actually congratulate them when they pull an awesome move. It's a game. lol

Seriously ... c*nt, fa**ot, and dickwad all in the same post? Man, you really need to get out of your mom's basement and stop acting tough on the internet. Go up to a gay man and his group of friends and say fa**ot and see where it gets you ... of course, you won't, because you're nothing but an internet pussy.

f*cking loser. Go suck on your mom's tit.

If you get offended by fa**ot you need a reality check, friend. How do I suck at racing when I would probably own your scrawny ass even if you would try to PIT me? People who ram are not skilled, it only shows you can't overtake someone properly. You really seem to get offended by certain language. And you need to check your hypocrite ass before you wreck yourself. Really? At least I care for fair-play, you really need to get a reality-check. I can guess from here you think you're a god when it comes to internet-bashing. Good luck trying to defend people who promote sh*tty behaviour such as yourself, and maybe you can suck their dick after you congratulate them. Grow up, homo.

Pretty annoying. I'll never be the first one to do it but if someone keeps doing it to me i'll do it back. Majority of the time they are just terrible at driving and will crash on their own so i will just continue driving. I usually don't even try to get into first place right off the line because its like bumper cars. Nothing more satisfying than still winning after the other people do all they can to crash into other players.

Close the race and race with friends use the ADD button it works R* can't ruin that. But just keep an eye out for people who have the same intentions as yourself bud watch the magical races unfold as you make friends :)

This is the way racing has always been in GTA and will be until R* decide to change it. It seems to happen more in GTA V than it did in GTA IV but that is due to people having catchup or or due to the slipstreaming. Getting pitted etc like i said will never change but imo it will get better alot of people start playing CoD: Ghosts or get PS4's etc.

It's unsporting conduct and was bad repped as such.

The aim of the game is to race, not to go full retard on another player because they are beating you fair and square. If you're gonna play like a dick they you're gonna be treated like a dick.

It's like when you do a mission and one of your own teammates kills you deliberately or makes it harder for you to do the mission by deliberately being a jackass. I have every right to bad rep them to ensure I never get paired with them again. I can handle losing, I can handle coming last in every race, I can handle being overtaken on the last turn and be beat by another opponent who may be less skilled than me, I just hate the fact that some people resort to dirty tricks to win and I'm glad I have a facility available to avoid playing with those so-called players.

They're probably the sort of people who camp or quick scope on CoD. People like that are a disgrace to the gaming community.

Legit my first few races online I tried racing legit because hey who the f*ck would instantly think to wreck people? But i'll tell you what those first few races I got knocked out by the biggest assholes alive and ever since then I have come to the conclusion that you have zero chance of winning a race unless you play dirty. So I'm a huge asshole in races now.

True. However, it's not "dirty," per se. It's been a part of NASCAR for nearly a century. Except here, you don't have to worry about a real person in the car, so why not have a little fun.

believe the biggest assholes alive, though, are the guys who killed people in Boston, not ones that nudge a car in GTA to spin out. Let's put things in perspective a bit.

What the f*ck are you talking about? Nobody in Nascar t-bones people on Lap 1...

And biggest asshole alive? You really took that to heart?

You're f*ckin weird man.

I'm pretty cool with pitting and bumping. However, when some douche who can't race decides he's just gonna sit on the track and mess people up cuz he/she can't drive, that's another story. people are gonna do it though, just go in prepared to deal and it isn't as frustrating as going in with expectations of fair play.

It's a valid tactic, particularly in GTA race. I remember once I spun out in a race and was left facing the side of the road, but the person behind me was catching up. I immediately went in reverse and he T-boned me, spinning me back into the right direction and killing his momentum. Besides that, it's the only real counter against slip-streaming in races with it enabled.

Yea I don't know what blackrooster is talking about. In NASCAR you'll see a car spin out by someone else tapping accidently because they are going over 180 MPH and its very hard to control a car at those high speds. But they never purposely ram someone to get ahead. Whenever I'm doin an actual street race ( yes I mean in RL), I never have the thought of ramming or P.I.T. someone cause its not the honest way. Yes it may be a game, but I certainly enjoy playing a game as if it is real. Not sure anyone will agree with that last statement, but that's my opinion

99% of racers are just little fa**ots who don't know how to race. I feel like pulling a gun out on them and shooting them as they're about to ram me. They seriously have no idea how to race. They're not even at risk of being taken over, on the complete other side of the road, and f*ck, they'll kill themselves just to piss off other racers. Kill the little fa**ots.

I host my own race and boot those playing bumper cars. They really need to add a few things to the custom cars on setting.

1. realistic damage. Your average crash will tear the wheels off, break axels, bend the frame , completely ruin the body work.

2. no respawn, wreck out, you're done. DNF

3. realistic cost for repairs. you cross the line with 50% damage, it will cost 50% of car value to fix that damage. For a car like the addler, own or rent, that's $500,000. PIT someone with your addler and take 5% damage to your car, you will owe $50,000 in repair costs. Even if you win, you are $37,000 in the hole.

These changes would quickly end all the f*ckterdery. No more PITing people, putting them in the wall on purpose. People would learn to use their damn brakes. No more going 3 wide into a corner. No more "the only way past someone is through them". You would only have to race with the most skilled drivers, none of these idiots going full throttle into a turn. Racers would learn to respect right of way, only pass/ draft where it makes sense too.

Bumping and ramming during the race is all part of the game, the only thing that pisses me off are the people I've encountered that don't even try to race. They will just wander, sometimes in the wrong direction, looking for people to take out. They make no attempt to even finish the race they just cause havoc..that garbage grinds my gears as they say.

It's annoying as hell when it's not a gta race. If someone does it to me there's pretty much no way I can finish first. When someone does this to me I say f*ck it, turn around, wait at the finish line, and f*ck everyone else over.

I don't mind. It be done to me so I might as well. Do I do it just to troll, no. I do it if it gives me a better chance of winning. Heck, I even get I the way of the guy behind me if he is about to pass me. I'll push them into on coming traffic, you name it. It's all about winning. Bumping and ramming just adds more ways to win than just driving faster. But only when "necessary". Meaning if it's early in the race, I won't do it. Down the home stretch, if it can be done.

This is the worst thing in the game.

I dont mind if someone camps me in free roam cause its my own fault if i cant get a kill. I dont mind if im trying to get the high priority vehicle and some guy has sticky bombed it cause its my fault that i didnt check it. I dont even mind if im robbing a store and some guy shoots me up whilst im waiting for the cashier and steals the loot.

But when im racing legit and some guy slipstreams me and then pits me off the road ill get mad. There is nothing you can do about it. The speed boost from slipstream means that even if i try and get out the way i simply cant avoid it.

People that deliberatly PIT or ram people off the road are the scum of the earth, no two ways about it.

EDIT: The only thing worse than pitters are those c*nts who drive across the pack after they crash out. I mean come on, its one thing playing the game to enjoy it, but playingthe game to deliberatly ruin it for others is a step too far. All because you are too bad to take a corner without hitting the lamp post.

i dont mind a few accidental hits.

sh*t that cant be avoided.

but when i am clearly passing someone with plenty of room to go by, and they deliberately veer into me.

i dislike the race once its over and leave the lobby.

or if i am hosting said lobby. thats a kick.

The real problem is slipstreaming. Not that the concept's in the game, but it's much too easy to catch up to someone and spin them around in the process.

But generally I dislike it. I'm not very good at keeping my car steady when someone's trying to flip me either. Some people are so good at flipping you around that they usually get me. The "hit the brakes when someone's about to hit you" thing doesn't seem to work for me either. The most annoying thing is when you're 7th out of 8 and trying to catch up to the pack, and number 8 slipstreams you and flips you around.

grand theft spaghetti

if it wasn't for little pussies throwing hissy fits id always come in first. im using a stock car up against their boosted fully upgraded supercar and still lead the pack. I actually have the driving skills to be able to win. until they start ramming into you or just turn around and go the other way.

had to remove a player from my friends list for racing like a little bitch. called in another player just to smash me so he could take over 1st place. when I was still beating him he left the session.

"Bumpin is racing" as they say, but I try not to.

But Lord help you if you bump me, because then I'm coming after you with a vengeance.

Same.

If someone pits me, I'm coming after their ass.

I'm all about using bumpers/fenders to race, not to wreck. Me and one guy had a good race of banging fenders across the finish line. I won by an inch.

Mostly, I try to avoid that on this game because most people on here get pissy if you barely touch them.

It's probably like the spawn killers when it was a 2000 medical fee... They have no intention of gaining anything, they just want to piss people off..

Would be good if we could track them down in real life and do the same to them while they're driving.

I do it more when the other racers have mics. Pretty funny listening to people flip out when you spin them on the last lap.

I do the same stuff in Freemode. When I hear some kid yell "c*nt" when I kill him, I stand my ground and keep going. But I prefer to do it when he has at least a couple of friends.

I actually have no problem with it at the beginning, more often than not the first checkpoint results in unavoidable rams, and even if they were intentional there is plenty of time to re-adjust. If it's a head to head approaching the final checkpoint, why not ram the other guy to secure first? Often the difference in prize money between 1st and 2nd is well worth it.

It's supremely rage inducing when it happens to you in that situation but I'm always clean throughout the whole race, but having many a race ruined by a ram I've taken to this nasty tactic on occasion.

and re: carboard boxes, why on earth do they send me flying into the sky vertically? hate them.

Had two fine examples of racers try to sandwhich me in a race on the first turn, I avoided that, but both of them continued to try to take me out by trying to ram and PIT me. So I did onto others as they have done onto me, first guy I executed a perfect PIT on, leaving him basically at a dead stop on a point to point race, you aint comin back from that. Second guy I passed using his slip stream and as I went around I was expecting his attempt to PIT me, so I simply moved left as he cut left into my bumper, this caused him to miss my bump and spin out, leaving him at almost a dead stop as well. I was able to finish in second place, while they were busy fighting for second to last and dead last.

There are counters to these manuevers, but really, that stuff should be kept to GTA racing, and not regular races.

Yes, the cardboard boxes are stupid, but at least they allow my Sabre GT to do wheelies.

I just don't see how using a known technique from the real world is being an ass. Pitting has been around forever. The only reason NASCAR drivers don't use it more often is because there are real people in those cars. Besides, there are so many worse things you can do. In Criminal Records, for instance, you could line your car up at the last turn ... it's so narrow, the person in first would hit you every time. Now THAT is being as ass. But seriously ... where do you draw the line? I can't pit someone, but they can slipstream past me at the very end of a race and win and that's okay ... but of course, if I see them doing it and then ram them in an attempt to stop them, *I* am being the ass for ramming? Don't you see how illogical that is? Then you have to come up with a list of rules for every single circumstance. It's just weird.

Reporting a person for a technique that Rockstar programmed into the game seems silly and childish to me. But even more than that, it's simply a waste of time. In GTA IV, I had people mod to win, use rapid fire, and send me messages from death threats to talking about raping my mom to sending me multiple messages that said c*nt c*nt c*nt. At first, I reported all this stuff to both Sony and Rockstar ... do you know how many were reprimanded for it? Exactly none.

I think people tend to forget that this is just a video game. They get so riled up when they "lose." But what have they really lost? Their dignity? Guess what ... no one really cares. It's fun to win, sure, but this generation of video game players who make up these arbitrary rules in a game that is designed with the capability to play with just your friends is just strange.

Meanwhile, glitchers who have made a BILLION DOLLARS are going unpunished. lol
