tonight i was in a couple races on route 68 and the first on i drove a stock adder and finished 3rd even though some players tried to pit me, on the second race i accidently hit one of my fellow racers and sent his super rolling a couple of ties but that i got rammed i was driving a stock Monroe which sent flying of route 68 onto a dirt road and some reason i totally forgot about restore and tried to get back on the main road.

"Bumpin is racing" as they say, but I try not to.

But Lord help you if you bump me, because then I'm coming after you with a vengeance.

If I think someone takes me out on purpose and I end up very far behind. I'll do everything I can to take them out so they don't win.

If I'm still in the race and have a chance, I'll just ignore them and try to continue. Sometimes ramming someone goes wrong and you end up messing yourself up.

This. I prevent bumping anyone, but then some random moron bumps into me anyways.

If it's a mistake (in 99% of cases, it isn't), I am okay with it.

If it's done on purpose and I get last, especially if it is a GTA Race (although I have no problem on people ramming in GTA Race),

i always turn right around at the start and drive the opposite way and smash into the people in the lead and block them in.

You are the kind of person I love dodging. It feels so good when I miss you, but you hit those behind me, making my lead even larger. :)

Some guy kept constantly spinning me everytime I overtook him for 1st.

So on the last lap I just sat behind him the whole lap and slipstreamed him in between the last checkpoint and the finish line to pip him to 1st place by 2 tenths of a second. He left after that race...

I only try to wreck someone out if they do it to me first. I always turn catch up off so if you wreck in a race I am hosting, kiss your hopes of placing well goodbye. Catch up is f*cking lame. Allows idiots with no driving skill to place well and potentially win.

I had no idea this was even a concern until a few days ago. Being able to pit someone is a skill and if you can't take it, then just race by yourself or with friends. I think it's silly to whine about it. Sometimes, you can hit someone on the side and make them crash into a pole just as easily. So is that not allowed either? Or should everyone just stay at least five feet from each other's car? Seriously, why all these restrictions?

A few days ago, I was racing against a guy who purposely got behind me and stayed behind me until just before the finish line. Then he hit me and made me spin out, and I crashed into a pillar. You know what I did? I sent him a message and said "Niiiiiice."

Why? Because it's a freakin' video game. Even if you don't win, you still get some money and RP, so who cares? Is your life so devoid of merit as to warrant getting upset by being bested by another player simply because he or she didn't follow your arbitrary rules? This is stupid crybaby crap. If you have a problem with it, you're not as good of a racer as you think.

This is also why I like to have Catchup set to on. If I get way ahead in a race and catchup is off, you know what happens? Pure boredom. I don't want that. I want to feel the guy's breath on the back of my neck as his car speeds to catch up to me. It's called a CHALLENGE and for some reason, a lot of drivers (and players, for that matter) don't want a challenge. They want the win to be easy. In fact, I've realized that some of the best players are the ones who turn it off so that they can win more easily. Which is weird to me.

Does catchup give a "noob" more of chance? Maybe. But if you're really THAT skilled, catchup won't help that noob enough to make much of a difference. And if he gets lucky once or twice and is able to pass you toward the end ... so what? Let the noob have a little victory and then just beat him in the next race. What's the harm in letting a new player feel good about himself every once in a while?

They are sh*t racers. Contact happens and is fine but those guys who pit, slam or go full throttle into you while your braking for a corner are just sh*t. Simple as that. Luckily you can usually catch up to them again because they are just that bad.

I understand doing whatever you like in GTA races, but regular races should stay clean. I can't understand how people can't respect that rule.(I know its not a real rule in the game,) but it seems more gratifying winning a race with your driving skills and not by luckily getting away from the big a** pileup because some a**hole swerving into the group of racers

I agree with this. Keep the ramming in the GTA races.

Normally I don't mind too much when it comes from jostling for position or some accidental hit on a tight course. However when some guy wrecks himself and I pass him and then he comes back on and intentionally rams me out of the way to make up for his own dumbass mistake I'm not very happy about it and will often say something. It especially pisses me off if we're both already too far back to have any shot at the lead and all he managed to do was put himself from 7th to 6th or some dumb sh*t like that. There's no reason to intentionally bump someone under those circumstances. But for the most part it just comes with the territory especially at the beginning when we're all lumped up and the drift kicks in for everyone at once and we all bunch up to make sure we're hitting that first check point. There's bound to be some crashing at that point and all you can do is hope to make it out clean.

Bullsh*t. It's part of the game. If you're getting pit that easily, enough to where you whine about it like a jock stole the girl you had a crush on, then perhaps you should take up Diner Dash or Angry Birds. Those pigs are mean, but at least they won't knock a bad driver off a track. lol

Seriously, going full throttle into you is bad? So if they're in back of you, they should just ease off the gas when they get close so that you take the win? Why not just make a rule that whenever you're racing, everyone else has to stay at the starting line until you've finished the race? Would that be easy enough for you ... or would you then bitch about everyone being in your way when you cross the finish line?

It doesn't make sense to admit that you can't handle yourself against a driver who is knocking himself into you and then call HIM the bad driver. Get a grip, buy a mirror, and change that tampon. lol

Translation: If you want to drive in really boring races where skill is second to driving ten feet away from each player, then sign up for my crew.

I used to get the same thing in GTA IV's Mafiya Work when I used a helicopter. Most players don't take the time to learn how to fly it without banging into everything and breaking their blades -- and yes, there's a HUGE learning curve to it -- but instead of trying to get better, they'd just whine and complain when I'd show them what I could do with it. Of course, if I was ON their team, I was a godsend. lol Especially if the other team had a pilot, because I can take down almost any other pilot with relative ease. :-)

I end up changing the way I drive each race. It's just impossible to tell if the person driving next to you is going to ram you off the road or drive by clean. So you either have to hope that they're not going to do anything and keep driving normaly, or get there first and ram them. Something I will try to play races clean, but more often than not I'm forced to spin people out.

I can understand people being angry when they spin out so bad that there is not getting to the finish line, but I have to draw a line a swearing down the mic and abusing other player. I was playing with a guy in one of my first races who consantly reffered to everyone as 'Dirty cheating c*nts' before the race had even started! Saying things such as 'no one here better touch my car or I swear I'm going to ..'' bla bla bla. During the race I accidentally tapped the back of his car while in slip stream and I have never heard someone swear so much.

Anyway eventually everyone just found it funny to run him off the road and he left.
