Alright now this really bugs the hell out of me. I haven't even seen any information on this so I was wondering if I'll be losing all of my data such as character, rank, apartment, money, cars and so on while I got the game for the PS4? Or will everything be restored without worrying about anything at all? I hope we aren't going to start from scratch. I mean, if the story mode would have to be so then I'm fine with it as long as I'm not going to lose everything in online mode.

 

Does anyone have an idea for the next-gen what might happen or not? Could we ask Rockstar for a valid answer on their website or something?

So you haven't seen any info yet expect randoms on a forum to know??

 

Because it uses cloud saving, there's no real reason for them not to allow cross platform saving - but to get a sure answer, you'd have to ask RS, and yes, they have a support page.

Technically it would be possible to transfer our characters between our current systems and next gen/PC since all data is stored on their cloud servers. It is just a matter of Rockstar deciding whether or not to do so.

You will end up losing your ranks and money as Rock$tar will want you to start over since by the time the game comes out on those systems, they will have all the glitches worked out and you will not be able to farm money and levels like you could. They want people to buy their money cards so I do not see them allowing it.

Yea nothing to worry about until they confirm a next gen version which they haven't at this time. Not even a hint at it.

Analyst are expecting to be released on the PS4 as well. Since it will be released on the PC why not the next-gen consoles then?

If on next gen I want to know it matters what console. I have a 360 now, but sure as hell will not be getting an xbone.

It would only make sense if they do re release it, just with sligtly better graphics/streaming. No confirmation yet though, so no definite answers

-_- people that's saying they won't allow it is crazy.. 1. The game is saved on the cloud, which means can be accessed from Xbox live. 2. Xbox 1 will have Xbox live. lol, 3. You'll transfer your gamer tag to Xbox1 along with the data, which will transfer save data. You'll be fine!

I see a lot of people saying that all R* wants is people to by cash cards and I have to say you really are mistaken.

 

The reason you can buy the cards is so that people who don't have all the time in the world to play their way up to millions can enjoy the end game with their friends as well and that the amount of money that R* would make from this crap is the equivalent of what we would call sofa change.

 

What R* really wants is for everyone to love their game so that when they bring out DLC, expansions and the next game, everyone will buy it.

They don't give a sh*t about profit from cash cards. They do give a sh*t about keeping people happy and playing.
