Cop cars in garage

Guide:
1. Find desired car, like a cop car (high end NPC and other player vehicles will not work)
2. Steal it and lose your wanted level
3. Destroy the driver side door off the vehicle (with the driver door open, ram it against a pole or other car for example)
4. Take the car to your garage, park it facing straight towards the door, as close as possible
5. Get out of car to enter your garage, walk back out

6. Go back to the car, when near it pull out a weapon and turn around so the car is behind you. Continue walking backwards to the car, get next to the driver side door while still aiming, and press Y (Xbox) to enter the vehicle. The car should now be in your garage, if not just repeat step 6.

To insure the vehicle once the above is done:
1. Get any other vehicle that can be insured.
2: Insure that vehicle, and put it in your garage.
3: Take the insured vehicle out of your garage, and blow it up.
4: Go back into your garage, and get in the car you want to insure. DONT DRIVE IT OUT YET
5: Dial Mors Mutual insurance, and keep it at the menu where you can select the car.
6: Drive out of your garage now, but don't close the mors mutual menu.
7 :During the cutscene of you leaving your garage, the menu will pop back up, now confirm it.
8 :Re-Glitch your vehicle back into your garage. (This is important, if you don't do this or sign out during this time, you will lose both cars)

Tips:
1. Keeping the car straight as can be in front of the garage
2. If you put the vehicle too close causing the cut scene to always trigger when you try to re-enter the vehicle, press the start button after pressing triangle or Y to enter the vehjicle. This should stop the cutscene from triggering, allowing you to reposition the vehicle. You could also use another car to ram it out of the away, or get a wanted level.
3. The vehicle will have a tracker but cannot be modded or insured.
4. You can call your mechanic to deliver the vehicle
5. To put the vehicle back, simply call your mechanic for another vehicle
6. To repair it, simply put it back in your garage (call your mechanic), start a mission, find a new sesion, etc.

• Jet - Explode and die

Ones you die in, you spawn with vehicle all fine.

 

Weazel Plaza

• Buzzard - Explode and die
• Tank - Nothing
• Jet - Right wing breaks off, causing jet to script drive into tree then explodes

Ones you die in, you spawn with vehicle all fine.

 

Richards Majestic

• Buzzard - Spazes then explodes
• Tank - Nothing
• Jet - Explode and die

Ones you explode and die in, you spawn with vehicle all fine.

 

Tinsel Towers

• Buzzard - Stuck
• Tank - Nothing
• Jet - Explode and stuck in 'garage walking' mode

Eclipse Towers

• Buzzard - Half damaged
• Tank - Nothing
• Jet - Explode and die

Ones you explode and die in, you spawn with vehicle all fine.

 

 

You can block off the exits with a tank or car to spawn teleport on the other side of them, but I just don't want to waste time with them.

Jet Storing Guide:

1. The road I start the video on follow it all the way to the race track area, and land on it, then drive to the apartment.
2. Position the plane like I did, front tip in right corner of garage door like shown.
'3. Get out DONT move, and call anyone to request a job, but DONT request it. Leave the Menu open, THEN you can move to the right side of the nose of the plane.
4. Hit Y to enter the plane and if you teleport in after a few seconds, you should be good to try to glitch it inside.
5. If done right it usually will teleport you into the plane around 2.2-2.6 seconds after hitting Y. You will have to try to use a stopwatch online or something, and hit Y, then around 1.9-2.2+second range, hit B to back out of the Request Job Menu. This can be very tedious and annoying, it took me a LONG, LONG time at first. Eventually it will work, just keep trying, over and over.
6. As you see in the Video, you'll know when it works when your in the cockpit, driving in.

Insure without the risk of explosion/resetting AND DON'T NEED TO RE-GLITCH IN 2nd TIME FOR INSURANCE!

1. Insure the car that is in the spot you want the plane (or whichever vehicle you want to clone.
2. Blow it up.
3. Get in the plane or vehicle
4. Call insurance company but don't replace yet.
5. Drive out.
6. IMMEDIATELY (while screen is still black) accept to replace just spam accept while your zoning.
7. Plane will get stuck or blow up. Mine blew up, I died, either way it'll work.
8. Go back to garage.
9. Take out any car, exit and return to garage.
10. Call insurance company to find other vehicle. You also have the option to go to online store and out to reset garage.
Should have a new, insured clone of plane (heli, tank, whatever you are insuring) in the a spot!

 

 

Tank Storing Guide:

Watch the video for placement of tank.
2. You'll see I went as close to left wall as possible.
3. Get out DONT MOVE, and call for a job but dont REQUEST one.
4. Once the menu pops up, walk to front right side of tank, face garage door.
5. Now you want to roll your finger on the B button then/+ Y button. (Basically you want to back out of job menu and enter the tank at the same time)
6. If you do it right you'll spawn instantly in the tank or walk inside the garage. Keep retrying the 2 buttons and using phone call till your player drives the tank inside.
*7. If you use the Pegasus Vehicle of yours to do this, when it glitches inside, it will copy the Pegasus version outside the garage door still, but it will be Invisible, so make sure you MOVE IT before trying Insurance methods!

6. Once tank pulls outside, load up the store and exit it.
7. Get out and walk back in garage.

9. Once you pull back in you should have two tanks and one will be insured at least! Hit down button to see which one is Insured.

This worked for me last night when I saw your post from yesterday. I was able to park a Taxi and LSPD Cop car inside my garage. It took awhile though, it's mostly a trial and error thing

Officer; When I call my mechanic both of my cop cars are on the list. The SUV is deliverable I tested that, the car however I have not dared exit that vehicle lol.

I think in theory it should work on ANY ungaragable vehicle (Taxis is a great example).

IIRC I did it in a public game... Also that is how I positioned my cop car when I did it. I hope the other players will comment on their "car placement" positions that got this working. If we have people posting this specific data, it can be made easier for others or for repetition so we can use these cars without worrying about losing them. I do think it's silly that R* is keeping these cars from being hoarded. I sometimes find it fun to chase bounties in the cop cars :-D

I would 95% say the more obvious answer is the correct answer. Any car that gets into your garage will have a tracker placed on it. Although, can you take it to LSC and have insurance placed on it? I want the riot van. All the other vehicles can so suck a chode.
