How does badsport work(timer)

Why do you get another day added ? is it a bug or theres something that im suppose to do while in badsport to not get another 1 day?

 

Is it cos im not doing any missions?

When I first got my bad-sport timer it went up a day about 3 - 4 times in a day. I ended up supposedly having 7 days in the loony bin so I sent R* a ticket about it. Hour later my timer fixed itself and went down to a day. So don't believe the timer. Do the counting in your head yourself. Also to people saying the timer goes up if you continue to blow up people's personal vehicles. I blew up 20 people's vehicles in about 2 hours and my timer went down an extra 30 minutes on top of the 2 hours passing.

Thats what i thought til i started blowing up cars in Bs lobbys an my time increased by couple days so thats bullsh*t
