New GTA Online Exploit for Patch 1.04

Hello GTA Forums,


I wanted to know every ones opinions on the current state of GTA Online. As a content creator I have an obligation to my subscribers/viewers to upload content that is Informative and Entertaining. But I wanted to know when enough is enough? As some one who has exploited in the past and with out a doubt used the money obtained to purchase all the things my heart desired, do you think GTA Online will ever be 100% Fixed?


In my latest video instead of encouraging the use of exploits I tried to send a clear message of "Use this at Your Own RISK". This all changed after the conversation dealing with the Cheater pool, possible resets, Character bans and other rumors that were surrounding Exploiters. Those rumors really opened my eyes that I have a voice in the community if ONE content creator out of a few hundred can heed the warnings that Exploits arnt something you should do, do you think the message gets across?


Example,

Most content creators for new exploits are encouraging the use by using telling users "YOU WILL BE RICH!! MAKE MILLIONS TODAY" but not stating that there might be a HUGE risk behind what they are doing.

Do you think me warning my viewers/future viewers makes a difference in slowing down the use of exploits?

1. save problems and game breaking glitches

2. The Bad sport mechanic

3. add more properties (check out my Add different properties because there are too many garages thread in this section)

It's a good idea to warn people that there may be consequences because when/if people do start getting reset, you do not want to have angry subscribers blaming you. The faster these exploits are exposed, the faster they can get fixed.

Offering legit gameplay tactics and not supporting obvious exploits is more appealing. If you read this forum, it might seem like over half of the community is a cheater and/or exploiter but in reality the majority of people would rather play any game legit. Legit tips and tricks are more appealing than the latest exploit for the majority of gamers.

I Dont Think the game will be a fail ; the game is perfect but they need to fix these exploits and add a system like a way u can grind friendly and THE WAY PPL THINK THE GAME IS BAD ITS BECAUSE THEY WANT THINGS TOO FAST before release of GTAO they said this was a whole new experience and they WANTED OUR FEEDBACK ppl complain because they want heists BUT THEY CAN T GO N EXPLOIT they really should wait THE MORE THEY EXPLOIT MORE TIME R* Takes to add heists . its just a question of ppl who are like "BF4 Coming soon ;COD Ghosts soon " R* Wanted feedback ; if we really did that the game would be SO MUCH GOOD yeah but ppl don t understand its an MMO type game and they want sh*t fast ! so really the game will get boring. there s only 20 days GTAO has been out . so KEEP CALM .

As for warning them, yes its a good idea I suppose, but it does seem a little funny that youre warning them, then saying you have a bad opinion towards the idea and acting as if you cant wait for rockstar to lay down the hammer... then show this amazing glitch that will net you tons of money and get you whatever you want in gta online so you can have tons of fun shooting your friends up with your brand new billion dollar tank... etc... you get the idea.

By the way I have to say I love the fact that youre so articulate in your videos. I hate all these tutorials and reviews where people talk super fast and say "uhm uh yeah umm so uhh" all the time. You are very "professional" in your speach and it is... a beautiful thing to see on youtube this day and age lol

Exploits and cheats for me destroy the purpose of an online game. Like I dont mind using a cheat or two in free roam single player just to f*ck around. But when you start using exploits to get the upper hand on other players you cross a line. Honestly, it is an issue of respect. I feel exploiters do not respect the game(company) or the players playing the game when they start to exploit online. It may be fun to say.. shoot through walls, however if you keep killing people like that they will eventually stop playing with you and you are left playing by yourself with your wall hack. This has cleared out entire online games and made it so only hackers play them because they are playing against other hackers. So then you think "I can either keep playing this game and getting killed, I can stop playing the game, or I can get a hack to defend myself" which are not the best options. Its why sh*t like punkbuster is needed, to save the legitimacy of the game. If rockstar looks past the glitchers and hackers (like they did in Red Dead Redemption online) GTA online will die even faster due to the fact it is set up like an MMO.

I think you or anyone with a large following have a responsibility to your followers. Especially when they look up to you. It's good that you changed you approach and made sure that you warned them of the risk because that in some way informs them and allows them to make a decision on their own from an informed state.

 

No one is perfect we all grow and learn from things as we go along. It's good to see that you are growing and being conscious about being more responsible. That approach will hopefully take you far and benefit your followers in the process.

I don't see why anyone has a problem with these so-called "exploits" and "cheats". How in ANY way does it affect your gaming experience if someone has more fake in-game money than you? Is it because their car is prettier than yours? Is it because they have the expensive car you want and you're jealous you can't purchase it yet?

 

And don't say it's because their car is faster and they can beat me in a race. It's not hard to setup your own race and turn off custom cars. The option is there for a reason because there's always going to be someone else with a faster car or better gun regardless of how they acquired it.

 

This all comes down to people being petty and jealous over fake bullsh*t in a fake world.

 

EDIT: If your issue is with guns and armor, well, you can just play a Survival type game and grab weapons you currently can't buy and you can get full armor by playing a quick race or skydiving mission by yourself. Everything is accessible to you in some form or another. So, please, quit trying to destroy everyone else's good time because of your problems with people being wealthier than you are in an online game.

People are not jealous of what the cheaters have. Most of us see the bigger picture and the issues the cheating causes.

• Rather than spending resources on delivering us new content, R* is wasting them to patch up glitches that are being exploited. IMO they should just have a system in place to reset anyone who's abused a glitch. If they did this, people wouldn't try so hard to find these glitches and even if they did, they would actually think twice before using them.
• If cheaters only get sent to a cheaters pool, this segregates the community and makes it smaller.
• This level of cheating and exploiting does affect balance in the game because there are people at level 21 with tanks and 10 car garages full of super cars. Saying that they could have just purchased cash cards is not a viable excuse because of simple logic and economics. The most expensive cash card that gives a player $1.2 million isn't enough to cause major balancing issues in the game.

That is just not true... You have to be a certain level for a tank, lvl 70 i believe. and how does them having a garage full of supercars affect you? The same way my neighboor having a BMW and me having a Toyota affects me.

The game's matchmaking is based on skill level(rank) and geography. Having the ability to purchase every single item in the game as soon as you reach the required rank creates imbalance. If you play legitimately, you would not be able to do this but people abusing $$ glitches can. Playing legitimately one person might have a tank at level 70 but another has the Buzzard, while the other focused more on buying and modifying a super car. Each person may have an advantage in one area but not everywhere in the game which is balanced. _{I forgot the tank needs level 70 to unlock. There was a level 21 with a tank downtown in the lobby I was in yesterday but I guess they probably were using a friends.}

R* Should have done it GTA V multiplayer, like Red Dead Redemption one witch was fun as hell. This is just good on paper, this GTA O, i expect half assed heists, instanced and unvaried. Like everything they promised, just look at the apartments ``variety´´.

Back to your original question, current state? A lot of fun but filled with a sh*t ton of bugs and I would love to see a lot of things fixed.

Regarding the exploits. The game is designed so you can not just buy a lot of money or in this case exploit a lot of money and become omnipotent. You have to unlock car mods by level and racing. You have to unlock weapons by level. So even if you glitch 900 million dollars, you can't just go out and buy tanks and copters and you certainly can't buy every car in the game because you don't have a place to put them.

 

What glitching money or buying money gives you, is a way to have more fun with the current broken system. I don't cheat and don't want an unfair advantage over an opponent. I want skill to dictate who wins a confrontation. I just don't see how having a ton of money in the bank gives anyone an unfair advantage over someone else who does not glitch or buy R* money. That being said I am open to getting money in this way but would not go crazy with it. Sure I would like 100 Million in the bank but I really dont want that much if it was from glitching. I would rather have 100 million in the bank from bank heists or the stock market. I would like enough money from glitching to buy a few nice things and keep me in ammo and weapons.

 

If you look on your social club page it tells you how much you made in selling vehicles. Clearly the know what anyone is doing if they look. Offering a warning is a good idea and appreciated. Keep offering glitches in your content, provide the warning, and it's in the hands of the user.

 

If there were no other requirements for mods and weapons then this would be an entirely different post and the GTA gameworld would really suck. Right now it's just broken.

The only reason I don't exploit is because it's too boring doing the same thing over and over and skipping between menu screens. Maybe if I could get a cyber slave to do it for me, I wouldn't mind.

I'm loving GTA online its superb. I have had very few and then only very minor glitches. I did play at my brothers and his online experience was plagued. My PS3 is from 2008 so not a machine issue.

 

PLEASE ALLOW THE OWNERSHIP OF SEVERAL PROPERTIES AND EVEN OPEN UP SOME PROPERTIES OUT IN THE STICKS THEY LOOK GREAT BUILDINGS EVEN ONE CAR GARAGES IF NEEDS BE. 10 CAR LIMIT WTF
