I am telling you...

 

Get the cops on them, use Lester, use sticky bombs (multiple). If you don't have any of that stuff then you have to get the Buzzard or Lazer... and you can't lock on so it is hard. Also the tank can peg helicopters so you have to stay moving if you are in one.

 

Remember with sticky bombs that you can still detonate them if you die I believe. So stack several on the tank before detonating. I have busted a tank with only a few sticky bombs before.

 

I actually look forward to the challenge of taking down tanks. Not enough people have them yet.

 

What is the cost to replace a tank if it blows up? Any?

Sticky bombs do next to nothing and go away after death, the cops are harmless since they don't have explosive and you can call Lester to remove wanted level. Buzzards and lasers get shot down instantly. And any other hopes to destroy a tank are destroyed when the tank just spawnkills you over and over. Even if it is destroyed, a new tank is a phone call away for a measly $1000.

Well I guess all the people trying to kill me with stickies never got well placed stickies. I never let them waltz up to my tank because I killed them when they spawned so maybe that's why.

Easy to avoid. Since you caught them around For Zancudo, I guess it wasn't very easy to escape the tank attack, but with some breathing room you can get away from a tank quickly.

So last night I got out of bad sports and joined a session where the highest level was 52, so I decided to take out my tank. There was a bunch of teens talking over the mic about stealing a jet from fort zancudo. I took my tank and headed north. When I got there, one or two of them had jets and they were all clustered aroundthe airstrip. I rolled over there and they had never seen a tank so they were like "holy sh*t he has a tank." A few of them had jets which i shot down. I just spawnkilled them over and over, they threw grenades, tried to sticky a car a and ram it into me, but I always spawn killed them before they could get the car with the stickies attached. I killed them maybe 50+ times altogether. Then my tank was almost destroyed, so I fled, called my entity and went as fast I could to the tank spawn. By now they were at fort zancudo trying to steal jets to kill me, but I just kept spawnkilling them at the hill leading to fort zancudo. Some used passive mode but I just ran them over or blew them up when they got in a car. By this point they all started to tell each other to kick me, and about 5 mins later I got 8 votes to kick, no idea how I didn't get kicked, but I was getting bored, so I left them and found some british guy and what sounded like his little brother and spawnkilled them a bunch, the guy was getting so pissed, hetried hiding himself on the radar and passive mode but I just ran him over. And after about 25 deaths he quit and sent me angry messages.

 

Anyways my point is to show how completely overpowered the tank is especially with low levels. Even if you are high enough level to have a tank, you'll never be able to get it due to bad spawns. Grenades, stickies, and RPGs do f*ck all to the tank, and if you do destroy it, another one is only a call away. Literally the only counter is leaving the session, but the tank driver will just find a new noob to harrass until the lobby is empty.

Tanks are fine like they are. They are very expensive especially with the mission profit cuts. They cost money to summon each time and are slow as hell.

 

The only thing that is wrong, is the SPAWNS. There would be no problem if you'd blow someone up and he'd spawn a safe distance from you with a personal vehicle in front of him. Someone who was just killed by a player should not spawn within two blocks of the killer. It's too easy to spawn trap people.

Yeah you can also call muggers from Lamar. If the Tank driver slows down or is stationary the mugger will run up and jack him out of his tank and drive off. This sh*t is f*cking hilarious.

 

Lester off the radar, I saw in some prev posts, is a good suggestion too, it's bad that it only lasts a minute though.

hmmm, I had to deal with a couple of dicks with tanks the other day. They do make short work of lazers as by the time the guns are in range they will have already fired a shot and killed you.

 

I think a great strategy to griefing the griefers is get an expensive personal car and constantly drive around them tossing sticky bombs on their tank. Everytime they kill you they get a warning and pay for your insurance. Soon enough in a lobby with multiple people doing this will earn the tank driver a badsport rating and a scorching hole in his wallet.

I got chased by my friend on XBox Live through the streets of Los Santos, and he was in a tank. In the end, he ended up rolling over - and pretty much crushing my entire car. I tried to roll away in what was now a scrap piece of metal on wheels, but he fired a single missile at the side of my vehicle (think it was a crimson jeep). It blew up and got launched into the wall. That tank has WAY too much effect in my opinion.

as said many times... the best way to defeat a tank... is to stay the f*ck away from it.. driving towards it is just fking stupidity... stay away and snipe it with a rifle.. and the best part is.. if you do that then you can steal the tank... win, win.

This game has no balance, the last multiplayer I played was the Last Of Us and that required actual skill. That game is balanced. This game is f*cked.

 

I went to war with a tank just to see if I could take it down. 20 RPG's later and the tank is still running, that is 20,000 dollars of RPG missiles down the drain. Bitches ain't sh*t without the safety of that tank. They need to give us an anti-tank weapon. Also, why the f*ck does that tank have unlimited ammo? Along with the fighter jets and helicopters with guns, they're all unlimited. Retarded if you ask me.

 

I really want to use stealth and kill players behind their backs and kill people one by one silently. I can't do none of that sh*t as the gameplay is nowhere near stealth oriented as it should be. Take off the blips entirely, I say.

 

Also, that stupid tank is way more overpowered than the one in SP mode. I caused some destruction with Trevor's tank and the cops killed me after a short while. Online, the cops don't do sh*t to the tank.
