Seriously sick of this now

The game is just unplayable now. Why is everything so broken? Are R* even working to sort it out because it seems to me like when one thing is apparently fixed, another issue arises. There are more money glitches being exposed which is just ruining it even more and I can't see it being addressed for a while seeing as they haven't fixed the issues that were apparent before this.

 

Anybody else utterly ****** off? I just want to play GTA Online properly and not be at risk of losing my stuff that I have earned. Oh and Social Club is also broken for me, it keeps on showing different cash balances and ranks and now isn't updating.

I can't even glitch seeing as I've lost all of my cash so I don't even have enough to buy a garage or a decent vehicle. I've just turned it off now, more frustrating than anything else and it's just not worth playing atm.

Are u crazy? You would still buy cash cards when the cut most the pay outs on mission. Just so u can get anything unless you play for ever and never had to buy ammo. Lol. Glad to see you have money to throw away.

The saving of progress i definitely see being sorted tomorrow. everything else probably see time way in the future or by the time the PC version comes out.

 

Hopefully that is fixed tomorrow as that's the main issue for me, it means I virtually cannot play the game without losing all of my progress.

Rockstar have taken the weekend off to rest their weary heads after having to fix all of the problems. Too bad all of those problems they "fixed" have now come back to bite them on the ass. Horrific customer service. F*ck 500k ingame cash. Give me the £55 back I spent on this broken game.

They do appear to be mismanaging a bad situation & thus making it worse.

 

As a software developer myself I have had to pull all weekenders & over nights in the office before when the sh*t hits the fan. From the looks of it though, Rockstar have released a patch on the Friday and then gone home for the weekend.

 

This is probably OK if you're developing business software, but for games, the weekend is obviously the busiest time & they really should have people on hand to deal with the inevitable problems.

 

They should be taking days off during the week & providing support at the weekends until the game is stable at the least.

 

I gave up trying to play this morning when my save continued to do extremely weird things every time I tried to load the game. Then I started seeing the character deleted threads again as well. I don't really want to lose a 3rd character.

 

the temptation to load it up is strong though! There's bollock all on the telly & I have a sh*t hangover as well as a cold.

Online was working perfect with 1.04 for me on Friday, then the weekend traffic crush came along and everything went to pot....as i already expected so stayed away.

The only way they will sell cash cards at this point would be if they reset every character and then patched jobs/missions to not pay any money at all. R* is f*cked and this wouldn't surprise me at all if they did this once they finally fix the glitches and bugs.

 

Also wouldn't be surprised since they nerfed the hell out of all missions that heists would only pay $25-50k tops and probably take forever to do making them not worth doing.

You can't compare your little software company to a billion dollar business that has thousands of workers and more for multiple platforms and services ( cloud for example )

 

There's so many intricate details and steps just to solve minor issues for a such a massive game.

How would you feel if glitchers kept trying to ruin your project then whine about how your company are slackers even tho in reality they are working around the clock.

 

This is by far the biggest, most ambitious, and greatest tech for any console game.

 

Be patient, it's really not that bad. I personally haven't had issues since day 1.

Rockstar wants this game to have longevity, as in 5 + years. Do you really think the plans were to have this game last that long by releasing it 2 mos prior to the release of next gen consoles? No.

 

The business model suggests you sell the game on current gen consoles because of the established userbase. Result: Over 1 billion in sales, and we beta test GTAO.

 

Phase 2 is when it is released on PC and next gen consoles. They will have some content that will go with the new package to push sales, and the bugs in GTAO will be mostly worked out. Then, the GTAO can thrive where it was meant to be all along.

 

TLDR: We are beta testing GTAO for next gen console and PC release.

I'm starting to think other developers are hiring people to troll R*s fan base. Does GTA Online have its problem? Sure.

But me personally have not experienced near the issues others have and my internet connection is through my phone. And my obly issue is when my personal lackluster network spas's out here and there.

 

Maybe I'm just lucky, I dunno.

 

I have also noticed that it seems the ones messing around with the glitches are having a majority of the issues.

Maybe these glitches are wreaking havoc on the servers trying to make sense of something that shouldnt be possible?

 

I guess I can take comfort of having some sort of clue of how this all works and know when I see something wierd, actually have an understanding of why it can be overlooked.

Not true at all. There will always be people with enough extra money and not enough free time or patience. It is never an expectation that everyone will buy cash cards, but some people, when they do, spend 100's on microtransactions.
