I don't think the tank should be taken out. Just make it so you have to re-purchase it after it gets destroyed. This would make players really think about bringing it out.

 

GREAT idea. The forum might be rubbish generally but if R* pays attention, plenty of good ideas are rolling between the bickering.

 

PS: I did a tank deathmatch in a forest and the cannon reload time should be taken up regardless of other actions. It´s SO silly as it is now...

lulz, I spawned killed this noob yesterday over 15 times till he left the lobby. He tried hiding in passive mode, tried stealing my tank and tried running. I got him every time. Sure people blow up my tank sometimes after I already killed them 20 times, but I just kill them when I spawn and go get another tank. My K/d is 5.0, so I definitely know how to drive a tank. I love when they are in passive mode and try hiding behind something only to nail them with my cannon and knock them out from behind a wall.

 

BTW the reason I was spawn killing the noob was because he was killing people entering/exiting their garages. Usually people only get their tanks when other players want to be DBs, just like I normally do.

We're playing against the same population of players, so the difference in skill is between you and me, not me and them.

 

If you're really so bad that you can't avoid a tank on foot, maybe try some of your phone options, like going invisible on the radar.

 

Or, imagine this, changing sessions whenever one of these "expert" players "traps" you. Lmfao.

I have only seen maybe one or two tanks in the city so far and I'm level 85. Buzzards and that other attack chopper are a bigger nuisance since they cut the pay from jobs and now I can't afford grenades for my launcher..

A TDM in between the Mt. Chiliad State Wilderness in the Paleto Forest would be a good spot. Plenty of hills and trees blocking lines of sights.

I'm an expert at buzzarding since I was pretty great at flying helicopters in IV. But I must say Tanking is just more appealing. I love it when people in buzzards try taking me on while I'm in a tank. I normally shoot them from the sky with-in 30 seconds of them approaching me. Some of them best shots I pulled where sniping buzzards from the sky with my tank. It brings a smile to your face hearing the buzzard flyer screaming over the mic how the heck I did that so easily.

Tanks arent the problem so much as the spawning is. If youre not watching your surroundings and somebody in a tank takes you out, it may take some time and deaths to get away since youre likely never more than a block away upon respawn. Theres an option to pick where you spawn into a lobby, why not one for when you die?

I pull out my tank ONLY if someone is being a jerk to me. I don't shoot unless provoked. I won't call the tank unless provoked. If I choose to drive the tank, I still won't shoot you if you didn't do anything to me. That would be brainless. Still, people get jealous or something. They see the tank and ram their vehicles into me, or shoot me. That's when I start slapping you with the barrel.

 

If you whine about tanks being OP, I have an idea for you. RUN instead of trying to destroy it. The tank will be overrun by police 5 star wanted level soon, as an explosion will instantly trigger a wanted level. Use alleys, tunnels and a fast car to GET AWAY. the tank is not fast enough to keep up and he will go do something else than try and kill you.

No because 1 takes skill and the other is just a person wiht no pride in hwo they conduct themselves who will kneel down and blow someone just to get the kill. There are good kills and garbage kills. Just because you died doesnt mean it wasnt a good kill. I sniped you from 1000m in a car, spawn camping me with a tank is garbage and not sporting at all.

 

And i can get a tank. Everyone can. Im not gonna do that stupid sh*t because i prefer sport. If you think getting a tank out is what ur sposed to do then have fun in rooms iwth 16 tanks in them with a bunch 15 year olds.

 

I can spawn camp easier in a buzzard with a friend too. All the dudes who tank i just get me and my friend in a buzzard and shoot missles at them from outside their range all day. Then if you wanna get a in a jet? WEll go get jets.

sounds like you run around shooting everyone. does not take much skill to shoot unexpecting people. when you get a cheap kill, don't be surprised if someone calls a tank and gets a cheap kill back

In my opinion if you kill someone who didn't provoke you then you deserve to be tank raped. But if out of nowhere you get blown up by a tank, thats pretty jacked. I was sent to bad sports lobby because i sticky bombed a guy's car that was shooting at me "he was in a adder and I was in a stolen muscle car trying to lose my wanted level and had low health". I.m.o if the player who shot first gets his car blown up he should have to pay for it, karma!
