Character missing again, along side W/L and playtime but my rank stays. Is the cloud just down or what? the game said it had trouble reading "character 1" ...ugh -_-

Well i went onto social club earlier on and my rank was there but later on i went back onto social club and my rank wasn't there Hopefully you don't get that.

Worked fine for me fora while after the patch. now this. I'm just guessing its the weekend and we'll hopefully have a steady run after this. Rockstar have learnt enough.

I played yesterday. for a maximum of 20 minutes. played a little bit of free roam. EVERYONE aprantley left the game at the same time. so I played some survival with a friend and it kicked all of us and then THIS happened.

Character is still a silhouette on social club, even now.

My rank is still there and my stats and mug shot are gone. so I have much more hope than the first time it happend. the sheer fact my ranks there is proof my character is still in that cloud ... somewhere.

Really sad to hear about your character bro. if you play on ps3 I'd gladly help you level up again if you re-start. .. when I get my character back.,

I have the same issue, except my SC is showing rank 1 while my character select screen in the game is showing the correct level of 50. Been like this since saturday morning

Unfortunately no. Slot one just shows no stats and no character, but it still says level 50. So if I select that, it brings me to the character select screen. Don't want to take the chance of continuing with it in case it resets me to a brand new level 1 guy. It's as if they know a level 50 guy *should* be there, but he's nowhere to be found.

 

I'm not touching it until 1.05 comes out. If that somehow fixes it, great. If not, I'll take the gamble of creating a new character in that slot like it wants me to. If it resets me to level 1, I'll just shelve the game as another 40 hours of play just to get back where I was is not even close to being worth the frustration of this happening again

I got the same problem exactly, I might just wait another 3-4 days or wait for an update from rockstar, if it stays the same then i will probably risk it for the biscuit.

Either towards the end of this week or whenever 1.05 is released, whichever comes first. Honestly think I wore myself out playing 40+ hours in such a short period of time that I won't care too much if I lose everything and never play it again. I do want to give it a chance though in case it is some sort of cloud issue that can somehow be fixed in the next couple days

got my character back but the connection is AWFUL. Everytime i join a friend or play normally it says I got "kicked" or it just says everyone left the game.
ontop of that jobs keep spawning me in spectator mode instantly and the game quits automatically after like 20 seconds and claims I quit so I get bad sport for it.

No clue mate. I checked my SC before going on line. my character was still a shiloute. so went on my ps3 and selected my online character through the main character wheel. and it took me straight too him. guess it was just having trouble having the mugshot of him? still got the connection issues or whatever they are though.
