Heists only available to players who own apartments with a 10-car gara

If this is true then guess I won't be doing heists unless invited to one by friends or crew members. I don't want to relocate as I'm happy with my current apartment and location.

You are getting a free 500k from Rockstar. The cheapest 10 car garage is 200k, if my memory is correct, which might not be. You can use those FREE money to get you an apartment with a heist room, or spend it on hookers. Your choice.

 

But you don`t get to use the "Rockstar didn`t send me a personal email" excuse when Rockstar is giving you 500k FREE money and the most expensive apartment in the whole game is 400k.

If you don't like what I'm saying. Leave the thread. Simple as that. You don't have to get all Professor writing and call me out on every thing I say. All I'm saying is:

 

1: I bought my apartment because I thought 6 cars was plenty and I didn't know you needed a bigger one to plan heists.

2. I think that, rather than buying a whole new apartment, you should be able to add rooms for a certain cost to your existing property for planning heists and for personalizing your safe house.

3. I never criticized Rockstar for giving 500k, I admire it.

4. The reason I'm posting this is so that other people who have done the same discuss the issue.

This is why I went for the most expensive apartment. I had the money and just in case their was an update involving the top end apartment, I had it. In the long run I'll be saving more money than some people having to re-buy the high-end apartment.

I don't see a point in this topic. Who cares if you bought it before you received the "intel" that you can only plan heists from a high end apartment (that's like saying you are entitled to the clothes being released in a few months because you didn't know about them when you bought your current clothes IG). It is nowhere confirmed though and even if it was no complaining or discussing would ever change a thing. It's what R* intended and I don't see them adding an option to upgrade your mid-end apartment with a room you can plan heists in if it isn't there in the first place. Either live with your existing apartment and miss out on hosting heists or buy a new one with the Stimulus pack or your already earned money.

 

Since you asked for opinions: I don't give a single doodle about it especially not after the Stimulus pack announcement (they kind of give you the high end apartment for free). Even without the Stimulus pack I wouldn't care (and I especially wouldn't feel offended if I only owned a mid-end apartment and found out that you can't plan heists, I'd simply move on and get the high-end one or join heists in progress).

If you have a friend that has a high-end apartment, you'll be able to use his when he starts heists. Granted you have to help him actually commit the heist, but it still stands. You will be able to use friend's heist rooms.

I am just saying OP should of read more about heists and apartments. Has been out since before online was up that you needed a 10 car garage apt for a planning room.

 

And how can you just add a room? There is no space to add one in a small apartment.

 

 

Now if OP is saying it would ne nice to have more options in apartments with planning rooms I get that. Would be nice to be able to buy a house like franklins and be able to plan. But we cant, and if frogs had wings they wouldnt bump their asses when they hopped.

My only question is, where are the apartments located that have a heist set up room?

All the apartments with 10-car garage have one. But I want to spend my money on cars rather than on an other apartment

 

 

Why would I buy something I will end up blowing up within 15 minutes? Hell, I'm surprised I haven't blown up my initial car yet. Of course, I'm only 8 hours into the online mode.

Well the good news is, my crew decided to divide up the resources for a hiest. I'm getting a helicopter, one has the lux apartment, another has a boat. We collected a good fleet of offroad vehicles, Armored SUV's, and fast get away cars. The only thing were lacking right now is active members. We got about 4 but I have a feeling heist will need about 6 or more.

 

Also if your looking for proof, all luxury apartments come with a planning board. compared to none luxury apartments that don't

this is another stupid move rockstar kept us in the dark about.

i grinded legit to get a decent spot on the map, not a nice view. then i got smart, gave up on sh*tty paying missions and bought a better place.

having said that... there is probably a reason why you can buy such weird vehicles through military stock (buses, trucks) and im sure it is for heists.

too bad by the time they get here, i will have sold this game to buy AC4.

Apparently heist can only be started from an apartment with a "setup room" only found in high-end 10-car garage apartments.

This really bothers me because I just bought myself a 6-car garage apartment in the location I wanted and now when hiests come along I will have to get a new one for 200 000cr + and lose half of my current apartment's value.

 

Opinions?

 

this information was released before gtao was live :S so id have thought anyone who planned to do heists would have saved and bought a high end apartment?

You are assuming everyone is good enough to even win a race. I'm not. I suck at races and cannot win them for crap online.
