failed character change in sp?

just loaded up V and tried to change from trevor to michael and the transition got as far as the last level of over-head zoom, froze, then returned to trevor?

 

When i took control of trevor again i couldn't move the camera and when i got in his truck he could accelerate/decelerate but not turn the wheel or get out?

 

i just quit the game and reloaded and it made the switch fine this time, just wondering if anyone else has encountered anything like this (my first and only technical prob with the game so far)?
