why do you kill other players in freeroam mode?

I tend to be this way too. Though due to the nature of the game I don't really begrudge anyone who shoots me for no cause. The only time it bugs me, is when someone attacks me in free mode right after we just did a mission together. There's been a couple times after a survival mission that a player has shot me while I'm trying to deposit my earnings.

Freeroam deathmatching is pretty much key to get good at the game in my opinion.

 

If you can easily handle the heat of 2/3 players versus your lonely self with the cops AI all around you, then you will rock in missions and you will rock in DMs. I pick on crews all the time because they give me a better challenge than 1v1. Plus they always get so overconfident because they outnumber one player.

 

Just lay some traps, take cover and let them come to you. The second they die/respawn, use that time and change spot so they constantly have to adapt to your strategy and not the other way around.

 

Only thing left to cover is racing, and that comes on its own anyway just from driving around, escaping bounties and just general practice.

me too. i love doing this and in my opinion, three is the magic number. four or five can be too much to handle, but three crew members is perfect.

 

their numerical advantage gives them false hope and most importantly, they come after you, which always gives you the advantage.

BECAUSE I WANT TO.....AND I HAVE THE MEANS TO........what other reason do I need? if I want to co-operate with players ill run missions, free roam is for random carnage if you get in the way of that ts. ps feel free to kill me 3 times.....if anyone multi kills me I assume theyre up for a fight so I tend to camp the f*ck out of them......I definitly dont cry when im killed on a video game as you seem to op so for me its win win

For the following reasons:

 

1) They drive at me at full speed with the intention of killing me. If I'm on the ball I'll normally have placed a couple of sticky bombs in front of me, or I'll be in a position allowing me to avoid the initial contact and then gruyere them with the combat shotgun...

 

1b) Should you succeed in 1), then you're going to pay a disproportionate price for that.

 

2) My character suffers from reverse vertigo.. She feels uneasy on the ground.. so up high is her natural environment.. It's a shame she's also a raging psychopath equipped with a sniper file as well...

 

 

3) Dicktards deserve to die.. The guy causing mayhem with the buzzard.. be a right shame if a well timed shot from a fair distance away ended his fun.. Same with tanks.. two blocks away and from the rear.. it's a bit hard to avoid those kind of shots.

 

4) Because they've pissed me off. You come chasing after me because I got to the crate before you, well don't be surprised I've not spotted your dot on the map coming at me still and I'm waiting... boy.. am I WAITING!

 

5) The sight of your garishly dressed character/painted car offends my eyes. I'm an aesthete and your blemish on the canvas of life deserves to be removed before it causes even further offence.

 

6) You're level 986 and I believe in natural selection.

 

7) You're level 3 and I believe in natural selection.

 

8) No-one should be walking out of a shop in front of a tall building without passive mode on.

 

9) No-one, repeat no-one, should repeatedly walk out of a shop without passive mode after being shot from afar.

 

10) Because you're a prepubescent child and the sounds of your screams as you die from a shot that you can't see where it came from are like Mozart to my ears.

 

I think that's probably just some of the myriad reasons why I do.. but remember.. there WILL be a reason...

What doesn't help is when people don't realise that yes, you are standing in the street pointing a gun but it's not pointed at you and that tank down the street is most likely to blow you up after you've shot me. Tough choice..

 

(one reason why height is definitely the advantage here..)

 

It's either that or find an area where you can lob a grenade but a still shielded from tank fire.. Also requires tank driver to have teh rage and be stupid enough to keep firing at you while you chuck said grenades over the wall...

 

However, once I've got the heavy sniper it should be a lot easier... it takes a few too many shots with the normal sniper and the fogging really makes it hard to aim these days..

2) If you have a bounty - it's nothing personal.

 

3) If you're griefing on a low level like the bad ass 'tard with zero skills you really are.

 

4) if you get in my way while I'm griefing the cops on a 5 star wanted level. Anyone in the vicinity dies in that instance

good thing I only saw about 4 or so.....

getting the Heavy Sniper is hard. I'm still lvl32, and the heavy sniper needs lvl90 (unless I'm blind, since the text is way too small)

 

at least these idiots are rare!

BTW if you're good at piloting the fighter jet, you may do good. I managed to destroy a tank once in the jet in a deathmatch.

Yeah, if I'm seriously playing in the city, I'm pretty much sticking to the roofs/travel by chopper..

problem is getting the damn things out of the base.. last time I discovered that you can get the merryweather chopper to hover in the base and have no stars..

 

only problem being that I discovered this after a previous attempt so the tanks were too close for comfort... *kerpow*

 

Might retry this strategy tonight and see if I can stealth one out...

I saw a video once.....

if you got a buzzard, fly to the base. you won't get any stars until you get down.

try going to those near the runway. tanks don't spawn there, so all you need to deal with is the soldiers.

in-case they spawned, fly/drive to the west end of the runway. the tanks will disappear.

 

haven't tried yet. since for no reason I'm the only player in these sessions

I kill people on sight a lot but I dont make a big thing of camping people......UNLESS they react like you did to the guy above.....then your just asking to be annoyed really arent ya?

 

passive mode should be done away with anyway, you want to be `safe` then why the f*ck are you playing free roam gta?
