Is it safe to play?

I would say wait until the end of the day. All progress from yesterday is still gone and I definitely don't trust it. Until Rockstar announces on newswire that the issues have been resolved I'm avoiding the game altogether.

In my case nothing has been saved from yesterday. I was playing few hours ago and still, nothing is saved. I don't believe in this delay bullsh*t, so no, I don't think it is safe.

its dodgy enough id say.

 

i was playing last night when i logged on my cash was at 1,350,000 roughly

got up to just over 1,400,000 and left because it said the cloud servers were down

 

went back on this morning and it seemed like none of my progress was saved because i was back at 1,350,000

played for an hour then and was up to 1,375,000 before i quit

 

and im just looking at my social club page now and its saying my cash is at 1,417,272!

 

so i think my progress from last night is slowly starting to appear now maybe

 

my rp seems to keep going up slowly aswell

 

so your progress may or may not save but if your not too bothered about it not saving then you could probably play away

I leveled once this morning and bought some attachments for weapons, and it saved it.

I wouldn't even bother to attempt to go Online. Nothing is certain and R* are pretty damn useless at the moment. Don't risk it for a biscuit.

and a few levels set back

 

so its really dodgy id say stay away from it

I think these people are manipulative and paranoid. I've had no problems at all since like day 2. Give it a shot, have fun. if your player gets deleted, big whoop you just started so you can start over and do it better next time :].
