Can a cars stats go past max?

My vaccas acceleration is very nearly maxed with plenty more acceleration mods to put onto it.

 

Will my acceleration be able to go any higher? Or will I just be wasting money on pointless mods?

If it's full in the LSC-stat bars, it's around half full in the car selection screen in races. So I think you can go past max of the LSC-stats.

I never understood how the LSC performance bar worked. It shows differently from car selection screen. Why? Wouldn`t it be better if there would be the same? That way we could see if my Sports car is faster than my Super car.

I put just turbo on my Obey 9F, then the next day I added Level 4 Engine and Transmission.

 

Huge difference, someone made a video of the acceleration bar, just because it's full that doesn't mean it's actually the fastest it can go.
